In objective games, a lot of the objective points are worth as much (if not more so most of the time) as kills and in CTF and S&D kills are worth more because of the respawn lag. I don't really see any problem with the way kills are valued in terms of over all score because the scoreboard shows exactly who is helping (though stats can lie). Plus, if I'm guarding a flag and people are just running up towards it and I keep killing them, why shouldn't I be awarded for that?
I still don't see the downside of killstreaks. Its what makes Call of Duty COD as far as I'm concerned. The only problem I have with killstreaks is that some of the care package drops are ridiculous (ie: I don't think the top 3 killstreak rewards should be randomly dropped), but since killstreak kills do not count towards killstreak rewards (great move), it takes more skill to actually get to the 11 kill streak. Personally, I don't see where CowherPower is coming from. I love COD, BC2, and played the crap out of the last R6 game and they all have the same "problems" and one isn't any better at deterring them than the other games. People complain about camping in COD, but that's pretty much what R6 ended up being after awhile and a lot of those people are really camping. But hey, if that works for them let them do it. I don't complain about people running around like headless chickens and 4-22 k/d ratios, why should I complain about the people on the opposite end?
The matchmaking this weekend was really bad, IMO. I hate coming halfway into games. I also hate being placed on a team with all 14-20 rank players (other team was almost all prestige players) who have no idea how to run a CTF game. It makes the matches frustrating when you have your whole team running toward the other flag and leaving me alone to guard our flag. No thanks.
