The perk list is what excites me about this game. There isn't one perk that I think is cheap and/or anger inducing.

Yeah I guess but compared to some of the other perks/deathstreaks (which are perks basically) in MW2, I'm okay with second chance.

Second chance? Is that like Last Stand (COD4)?

Yes but a little different. If anyone else has second chance as well they can revive you when you go down into second chance.

which I'm ok with as I use it in WaW and it encourages teamwork. a word never associated with anything to do with MW2 *cough* OMA *cough*

As am I...I don't mind the 2nd chance but I'd like it to be more like the final stand in MW2 where if a player is in the state of waiting to be healed but is given a time limit (so when the player in MW2 would be healed, in BO the player would die if not healed).

After seeing the information trickle down on this game I'm much more excited than I ever thought I would be. On the flip side of that I am trying to limit myself to being cautiously optimistic especially looking back to how excited I was prior to the release of MW2. I'm trying to keep my hopes up but don't want to get too high in case things going downhill fast after release, a la MW2, when the hacks and glitchers get their hands on it. I think I've developed the fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me mentality

Another thing that worries me is that there doesn't seem to be any plans for a beta or demo. Anybody else feel the same? I thought this was a good idea with World at War and I can't really see it being a bad thing with this one.

I'm beginning to think I've been poisoned by the last COD offering

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

Honestly I'm way more excited for this game than I ever was for MW2. This time last year I was still REALLY into WaW and never really a big fan of MW1. So I was worried that I wouldn't care for MW2 either. Luckily I ended up enjoying it a lot more than the original.

                          It's in the game sorry.

Personally I'd axe akimbo and lightweight if it were up to me. Marathon should be enough for anyone who wants to use a flanker style.

It was the unbelievable akimbo weapons that I couldn't tolerate. i.e. P90, Vector, Model 1887, MP5k, etc. Any of the guns that require two hands to fire.

Pistols, Uzi, Ranger, etc... were fine by me.

it's definitely too late to do a beta. I thought it would've been a good idea too, in fact all online shooters should have betas, but Activision doesn't care enough because they know it will still sell.
