I got at least 15 kills with a Sentry Gun today. Match was CTF on Array and I placed it by the choke point near the jeep. They just kept on running in the choke point and getting slaughtered.

For me, it's just waaaaaay to campy now. I remember in CoD4/WaW, very little camping happened, but ever since MW2 it's become a camp fest. No matter which map you play.

Well yeah, the kill times are so fast that you have to camp in order to stay alive.

God, I love when people talk trash.

Joined in a room with these three guys that did the usual get beaten in a match and complain about camping after, so how do I follow that up?

19-2, 20-2, 30-5 [insert break to talk trash back and tell them that they got real quiet in the lobby and weren't trying to talk **** anymore, followed by them calling me a camper when they're the ones sitting in corners in the trailer on Firing Range], and then 31-6.

They all quit right at the end of that last game.

Damn, that felt good. Talking trash is one thing, calling me a camper when I'm running around flanking the **** out of people, while they're sitting in corners in the trailer, or right by the wall of sandbags near where 'B' is, or all of that....you're going to get beaten and you're going to get beaten bad.

I decided to prestige since I was thinking about doing it during the 2x XP weekend...doing so bad right now. Luckily I just got my claymores, killstreaks and stuff...wish I could at least get the ak74u or the famas or something....I hate all these crappy guns I have right now.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

Well outside of the rapid fire 74u, Famas, Aug (which is all you mostly see people use) it does technically take more shots to down people than in previous Call of Duties because there is no Stopping Power... I think Black Ops is more "Camping" heavy because for whatever reason a lot of players don't trust their shooting ability because of the recoil, and not having Stopping Power to fall back on.

Just like in MW2 when players can't win head to head gun fights, they try to fall back on whatever crutch they can to try and get some advantage. In mw2 it was using One-man Army, Danger Close; Grenade Launchers. In Black Ops you find people putting on Ghost and hiding with Motion Sensors... I've seen a lot of people with Second Chance because they figure they can try to get as many cheap kills as possible... I loath that perk.

I just started playing the game and it took me about 3 matches to figure out that most people camp. I'm the type of guy who likes excitement so I just run around and try to stay out of open areas. My 14 year old son is a maniac on this game and he hates campers. The other night he made me watch him destroy all the campers by playing a whole match with just the ballistic knives. He won the match going 31-5 with just those knives and you should have heard all the little cry babies whining that it was cheap to use those knives ! Cheap? I think it's total skill to go a whole match and get 31 kills with just the knives, right?

Yeah I'd say the ballistic knife is one of the hardest weapons in the game to use effectively. I know I can't hit anything with it.

Sven, any tips on aiming better or shooting quicker? Every time I get face to face with someone, they seem to always take me out first. I've been practicing and practicing and I still get raped on Xbox Live. I asked my son what I was doing wrong and he just says "dad, you just suck". Little prick, kids these days.

I've been seeing a lot more people camp lately. What I mean by camp is look at a window in one spot, or camp in a corner and have your muzzle face the doorway.

I know the camp word gets thrown around way too much though, it seems whenever you kill someone their first thought is, "no way that guy is better then me, he must of been campin!!" But the last week every match I've played has had one guy just laying in a corner waiting for someone to come through the door.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't mind people who use that strategy. Some call it camping, I call it an ambush. If someone's smart enough to find a strategic point where they can pick off someone coming through an opening while also protecting their own back, good for them.

It's the people who climb up on barrels or ledges and wait for people to run around a corner below that piss me off.

Camping has never really bothered me. It is what it is. If you're sniping, you have to camp. I always get satisfied when I run through and wipe out 3 guys sitting there waiting for people to come by though.

My issues are my ups and downs with the games. When I have a bad night, I hate it. When I have a great night, I love it. LOL

I'm just thrilled that through my first few weeks, I was at a .54 K/D ratio, I've now brought it way back, from being about 800 under the 1.0 ratio to a .99 K/D ratio and only 54 kills over deaths to a 1.0 ratio.

But I still get compeltely frustrated with this game on a regular basis, yet keep putting it back in.

I popped this back in for the first time in months.

I forgot just how crazy of a pace this game plays at. I think putting it back in confirmed that I need to sell it, while it's still worth something.

I've tried to like this game. I like the guns and the different scopes, but the Maps and overall game play just don't do it for me. I'm one of those who feels like I can be putting several bullets in someone and the game never register them. I guess it's because people join in with bad connections.

I'm going to try and not get suckered into buying the next COD on day one. I'll wait for some input from everyone before I get it.

Don't absolutely hate the game, there's just some things that I can't get over to be able to enjoy it.
