Re: Call of Duty 7 (Working Title)
That was a cool trailer, but it reminded me an awful lot of EA's new Medal of Honor game.
And MW2's demise??? First we have it labeled a disaster, and now the game has met its demise?? I'd say the games sales and amount of people who play it online beg to differ...Comment

Re: Call of Duty 7 (Working Title)
I can't rate a game based on sales and users. If the game's name was "Total Warfare 2" it wouldn't have sold. Gameplay just turns me off on this one. They went from realistic (COD4) to unrealistic (MW2).Comment

Anyway, I'm getting off topic so I apologize. I just find it kind of funny.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Anyone who is an elite COD player understands MW2 was a disaster and IW met their demise. One of the laziest products I have ever seen released from a group that had so much promise.
After WaW, I trust Treyarch. They do a much better job of listening to the community.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I don't trust Treyarch after WaW- but because they have probably seen how people are so frustrated over MW2 and will not do what they did last time with WaW(pretty much WW2 CoD 4)..but add the good stuff from MW2, and leave out the bad...although I bet there will still be some stuff left in that just doesn't make MW2 work, but it is fun to use(like the user controlled streaks)
And I am sick of these copy cat WW2 games...they could do a great job going a different direction, thinking out of the fps box...if they made tasks and secondary tasks and along the way you could choose not to do them/or do them in different ways(maybe have choices deal with morals of what is asked...who you kill...how many you kill...doing personal favors for your higher ups...I mean like maybe killing a town of Germans to get them a few cartons of cigarettes?) and so on and so forth..Last edited by AnArtofWar; 05-02-2010, 02:12 PM.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Some people seem upset at WWII games being made but their has been a lot of modern style games done as well such as Socom series, Graw series, COD4, MW2, Flashpoint, Rainbow Six series, Battlefield BBC series & the new Medal Of Honor coming soon. So a point can be made that modern warefare games have been over done as well. Plus the sales of WAW were great so it seems people are still interested in that time period. Also MW2 was not a disaster financially but it was in terms of the style of play. It's like the Star Wars prequels as they were a money maker but a complete disappointment amongst fans as they paled in comparison to the original trilogy. Me personally I enjoy both the modern & WWII setting and sales seem to show that people enjoy both as well. Re: Call of Duty 7 (Working Title)
What I'd love love LOVE to see oneday would be a game that actually felt like WW2. Where you actually felt like you were trying to capture Stalingrad, where there was no scripted path and you could go anywhere you choose. Your Captain, giving your squad orders, you holding down an area, giving covering fire, but I know this would never happen
But to be honest, I'm not burnt out on WW2 games, I love everything to do with the World Wars, but at the sametime, I think it's time to move on.Last edited by SinisterAlex; 05-02-2010, 03:05 PM.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Call of Duty 7 (Working Title)
Well then I'm not buying the game if it's going to be another CoD4 clone.
