Just watched the trailer, pretty cool. Like others, this doesn't look to be set in the past at all. Interesting to see what they show if anything, at E3.

I will be interested to see what the MP is like for this game. In hindsight, I enjoyed Treyarch's effort for WAW. It was simple and gritty. I hope they don't try to reinvent the wheel.

I have more faith in Treyarch than IW at this point...so I really hope they build on the WaW multiplayer structure and not off MW2. No MLC, danger close, noob toobs that aren't perk 1 tied, etc... please.

I never had a problem with WaW, it was CoD4 but in a WWII setting.

Apparently they (Treyarch) replied to BlameTruth's video he did a few weeks ago about 5 fixes that should be done in Black Ops's multiplayer, so from what it sounds like, Treyarch is trying to listen to the community about what they want and don't want. Good on them, right now I think this is Treyarch's opportunity to get even more popularity and get rid of the disasterous "CoD3" game out of everyone's minds.

Hopefully they don't pull an IW and DO NOT do a multiplayer beta, MW2 should've had one..... period. IW's cockiness at work there.

to be fair to Treyarch about COD3, they only were given 8 months to make that game.

Yeah it was literally cod4 in ww2 setting, in multiplayer at least. It will be interesting to see what they do with this. WAW had a public beta, so hopefully this will. But COD4 also had a beta and MW2 did not so who knows haha.

I just hope it has a co-op campaign like World at War. That's what really did it for me. I play my PS3 with my buddies most of the time or we play on theirs and if a game doesn't have a co-op campaign.. the campaign is useless to me. Which is exactly why I've never completed the Campaign in Bad Company 2.. and I only finished MWF2 because me and my friend passes the controller in between missions.

Multiplayer is great, I have almost 7 days of playing time on MWF2 and I haven't even played it since Bad Company 2 came out, but the Campaign is supposed to be half the battle...

Yeah I'll never get the hate for Treyarch. WaW was better version of MW and they support their games much better than IW.

The worst versions of COD came out that camp (not to mention the milking of THPS which went down down downhill fast), and 2. I enjoy MW2 enough as it is.

Don't be surprised if the MP is exactly like MW2 either. because i have the sense activision is pushing this out as fast as possible to try bury the dismantling of IW.

just my view on things though.

Apparently BlameTruth (a popular MW2, CoD youtube gameplay guy who is a premier director for Machinima) heard on the Call of Duty forums that Treyarch wanted people's opinions on what should and shouldn't be in the game. He (BlameTruth) posted a video on his channel directed at Treyarch and Black Ops. He talked about 5 things that he wanted fixed for Black Op's multiplayer. Apparently, Treyarch saw it and replied to him.

Treyarch is listening to what the community wants, which is a good thing. Let's hope they release a beta so we can find things that work and don't work.
