Didnt Madden 05 Win a GOTY for a few sites?
Personally I would have to go with ME2 just because the Story was top notch, it launched with almost zero bugs, and you actually felt a connection with the characters in the game. After Beating ME2 it made me very anxious for ME3, the same cannot be said for any other games this year.
As far as a Call of Duty game winning GOTY, I feel very strongly they have no business in the Category. COD Games do tell a good story and the Multiplayer is very good but I do not like the Idea of a "On the Rails" FPS winning GOTY. It would be like Bad Boys 2 winning Best Picture, awesome action flick no doubt but it is not best Picture material.
The Original Call of Duty and COD:MW are special Exceptions, all the others are basically mindless shooters.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

I've never played a ME game, will they ever come to the PS3 or is it 360 exclusive. People seem to love it.
I see Heavy Rain got a few mentions and i agree it was amazing but it was too short and little replay value to be considered for me. I wish i had only rented it in the end despite it being a fantastic ride while it lasted.Comment

5:Alan Wake (story is great though)

Possible sure,just highly unlikely. Pretty sure the first wouldn't come to PS3 so that'd be like having Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi without the original Star Wars. One of the devs had a comment about it that really didn't sound favorable for a PS3 version as well.Comment

It was Madden 04 because all the sites loved the owner mode. It was also the first game to get GOTY at the VGAs. It's the only sports game I know to recieve the honor, and probably one of the few to ever be mentioned GOTY talks.

Hmmmm. Last year was easily Uncharted 2 in my eyes, I go by what game kept me playing the longest and how fun it was. This year is a bit harder. I could say things like.....God of War 3, Heavy rain or even final fantasy 13 (Underrated) but i'm going to have to go with Bad company 2. Its the only game iv'e played this year thats kept me playing and playing, I would say it can't be beaten this year but they left out one feature that may ruin that.........You can't hear the oposite team talk. Being able to **** talk in online games is a must ;<Comment
