Oh, there was more to those chocobo games than that. You had to collect balloons during the run, and each one shaved a second or so off your time. The goal was to complete the run in less than 0 seconds including all the time bonuses. Just an asinine mini-game.

Then again, I think dodging lightning bolts was probably worse.

I didnt do the lighting one that was just crazy stupid.

I do remember breaking 2 dual shock controllers to pieces with the chocobo one.

The last level of Ninja Gaiden on Nintendo was absurdly hard if I remember right.

And I dont know anyone who has beaten Kid Icarus or Friday the 13th without cheating.

I would probably remove Mega Man and Contra and put Ghoul School ( whole game is annoying ) and Karate Kid ( typhoon level ) in their place.

How about those nightmare levels in max payne where you moved in slow mo and had to do a bunch of platform jumps...terrible.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Good call. That mission made me want to punch babies.

This list was very spot on and accurate though, for a change.

That damn Lightning one caused me a broken controller. You had to get about 200 in a row or something to unlock Lulu's ultimate weapon that broke the 9999 damage limit (to 99999) and i would get to like 170 and get hit. RAGE FACE.

In fact most of the tasks to get the ultimate weapons in that game was a pain. Once i got Auron's and Lulu's i was done. I didn't need any other's anyway. With those two s*** got real for the enemies real fast. In fact i beat Jecht/Sin in less than five minutes with those two.

Totally agree on the TMNT underwater level.

I have never hated any final level as much as the last one in the original Driver. It took about 30 tries for me to beat it and was the only time I ever wanted to light a game on fire.
