    Re: Mortal Kombat

The more good characters we can get in this game, the better.

Anything to help freshen up the stale cast of Ermac/Raiden/Kung Lao/ players you run into online.

It's funny that DLC Skarlet is a beastly character when used to her full potential, but hardly anyone uses her online because she's not an "easy mode" character like Ermac and Raiden.

      Re: Mortal Kombat

I have literally had ONE game online. The rest have all been "Game session not available" at the character selection screen or right before the game begins (Character Intros).

Now I know its not my connection since I just played Top Spin, NCAA, FIFA and WWE with no hiccups.

Rumor has it that you and your opponent must have the same type of connection. That is, if I have a D Link Wireless, I can only play with people with that setting (not NetGear Wireless for example).

Patch cant come soon enough though, been months since the game has been out!

What I don't understand is why people keep on saying that kids aren't restricted from buying violent video games. Are those people even aware of the rating system? M rated are not sold to children unless they have an adult with them, what more do those people want. It should be up to the parent to determine if their child is mature enough to handle that kind of content.

The issue was that selling an M rated game to a minor would then be against the law, and not something industry regulated. Publishers would have made separate versions of the games just for California to avoid an M rating so that they reach the max number of consumers. An example is L4D in Germany not having blood.

That's what I've gathered from the bit of information that I've gathered.

With all the classic skins coming out, which version of MK characters do ya'll prefer? I'm big on nastalgia so I enjoy many of the old school sprites. Except for Liu Kang. His zombie costume was badass.

Man I am hoping for some story mode DLC. I just beat it again and wish it was still going. Also surprised at the number of people that dont have the compatibility packs downloaded.

Side note: I hate playing guys that have to use Scorpion online. I know we go through this every now and then but last night I played 5-6 guys in a row using him. For whatever reasons I just cant respect someone one using Scorpion all the time. I guess its because Im the random select kind of guy.

Got online last night and did pretty well. Fought guys about my difficulty and won a handful. The desyncing was terrible but no lag at all in the games that I was able to finish.

Yeah I understand why guys do it, I just have an odd hatred for Scorpion. Can guys cheat the system and just leave a fight on an unlimited timer with 2 controllers and just walk away and still rack up time? I wondered about that as soon as I saw the mastery system. I dont really see myself mastering any fighters, but its an interesting system. You should be able to tell online if a guy has mastered that fighter.

Yes, yes you can. I plan on doing that with other fighters /cheattrophywhore

But with Raiden I'm going to actually play the 24 hour time with him learning his stuff. I'm getting pretty good at 5-6 hit juggle combos. I usually get too anxious though and miss stringing them into 9-10er's

                                With practice though....
