For all my fellow old guys, can you believe Mortal Kombat came out in 1992? It's hard to believe the original game came out almost 20 years ago. I still remember when my arcade charged 50 cents to start a game and 25 cents to continue. I tried so hard to be able to fight Reptile but I could never do it in the arcades (double flawless in the Pit Stage with a fatality).

That trailer looks like pure fan service and I'm looking forward to the game. I might actually turn on my 360 again.

This is new or a MK II/3 remake? Because it looks like a remake. MK II was the best so that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

Don't like how the camera shifts to almost behind the guy for certain moves but hopefully that's just for the trailer.

The rest looks superb!!! Or as the announcer used to say 'Excellent!'

This looks awesome. The past view MK games have gotten nothing but harsh criticism. Hopefully this won't disappoint.

That's what I was left wondering. It looks like a mash-up of MK II and 3. I was hoping for something "new."

Yeah, I'm more against the tilting up as characters jump. I like it to stay down.

and unlike the rest of you I'm going to have to be a debby downer.

This is only because I read a small article before seeing flawless' video too, them mentioning about getting back to the original.

Instead of what looks to be a game trying to cash in on SFIV (big time imo) ...I was hoping they would go right back to the roots and even use that holographic look of real video for the characters. MK and PitFighter were games that did that, ... but now in 2010 I'm sure by now we could have found ways to expand on that much further!

They could have filmed real people in a studio with like 20 camera's and put together a more classic style MK that would blow people away. The special effects are limitless too, look what's happening in movies now!

I really don't like coming into a thread and putting down a game, but just was hoping for something much different than what I saw in the trailer.

Maybe I'll hunt down the original makers of pit fighter, get some funding (yeah right) and remake that for the current generation!

While i'm excited for this new game if it goes back to its roots you make an excellent point there. They should really try that out, would be something out of the ordinary and what could look realer than actually using real actors to film the moves etc.

I liked both but ended up using Cyrax more often.

I may end up getting this whenever it comes out because I liked MK II/III so much, but I was really hoping around this time of year that a new Killer Instinct would be announced.
