Don't click on this unless you are CHooe. You don't want the game to be ruined.

Re: Mortal Kombat
This thread is so damn tempting.
The only thing is I'm not THAT big on fighting games and I never like having to memorize all those button inputs to pull off one move.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Mortal Kombat
If you don't like fighting games you will probably get bored of this game after a week or two. It has a lot of replayability value and there's a lot to learn/unlock, but if you aren't one for fighting games than you might not go crazy for this game.Comment

Ok my 2 friends keep killing me.
One uses Kung Lao and spams his Tele when im at a distance, Hat Throw as well and Spin when I get in close all while holding the Block button the whole time....lol.
The other uses Baraka and spams his Chop Chop attack (Waves his arms real fast) when I get close along with the spin blades and electric blade range attack. He also uses the block button all the time as well.
Any tips guys?
Also are thier Animatalies, Friendships and Brutalities in this game?

Re: Mortal Kombat
SpoilerI don't know about animalities, but brutalities and fatalities are.
Just practice and practice. That's all I can really say. Each character is different. Scorpion is for button smashers, whereas SZ is very difficult to learn and is very slow. He is defensive.
Utilize the block and jump attacks.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
I hate fighting games, and having to memorize the button combos (I feel like I use the same 5-6 moves all fight at the moment, which probably is why I lose a lot) but I've enjoyed my day with the game so far.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
I do love the look and feel of the game though, and of course they have some of the best video game characters around. This wouldn't be my first MK game either. But in the end I think I'm just going to hold off for now, unless I can rent it or play it at a friend's. With L.A. Noire coming out next month and the fact that I'm still catching up on older PS3 games, I don't think now is the right time.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Though a general tip for your situation would seem to be throw.
Actually Smoke can fix your Kung Lao problem. Smoke has 3 teleports of his own and an anti projectile move.
SpoilerI don't think the teleport was helping. He won't taunt if you're next to him. Gotta keep jumping backwards. Yah the x-ray is pretty cheap.Last edited by goh; 04-20-2011, 05:26 PM.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
No one cared about the DLC news huh? LOL
For someone like me who's not a big MK fan, I mean I loved 1 and 2 in the arcades and would play them just about every night, but it's been ages. And I felt the MK series went through way too many changes and transformations over the last 6-7 iterations to where I didn't even care about it anymore.
Broke down to get this due to that earlier feed and the glowing reviews of it being a throw back to the original games. So happy I picked it up, awesome, awesome fighter. It's really cool to see this genre coming back so hard with the Street Fighter IV release, MvC3 release, and now MK. Gotta love it!-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

On a side note, I would love it if they hid the original MK on the disc somewhere to play in full arcade glory sound and graphics. Still the best fatality music in the series!Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 04-20-2011, 07:05 PM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment
