I was a Sr. in high school when the first MK came out.

I've loved Scorpion from day 1 and he's all I know.

I tried using Noob, but had NO look what so ever.

What do you think of the story mode?

It's a great story mode. Long time fans and people new to the series should enjoy it as its basically a recap of MK. Too long for for my tastes as I already knew the MK story and just wanted to unlock everyone so I can hit training mode.

I like that you're forced to use different characters. So many people only know Sub-Zero, Lui Kang, and Scorpion. Playing through the story mode will give you a feel for everyone's moves and may change your mind about a character you thought you didn't like.

For me, I've never liked Nightwolf, but after his chapter I hit training mode with him and now he's part of my CyJax rotation. Not sure what it was that made me like him in this game, I'm pretty sure he has the same stuff he's always had, but playing through the story mode forced me to use him, something I probably wouldn't have done if I didn't have to.

Can't say enough about the amount of content they put into this game. I just finished a 8+hour story mode and haven't even touched half of the game yet.

I also found a pretty nasty combo with Smoke.

Forward jump, B, RB, roll back Y, forward dash, A, Y, Forward dash, B, forward jump RB, roll back Y then time ya Xray while he falls.

That combo alone almost kills the opponent. Corner combos are also pretty nasty.

are there strength differences in regular attacks in this game?

or is everyone fairly equal?
