Why is scorpions move where fire goes under you not blockable?

Are there any other moves that are unblockable as well?

You can "block" Scorpion's fire move by jumping. Noob Saibot's little portal thing that drops the character through the screen is countered in the same manner.

I'd also guess that any air throw is unblockable, along with any other ground projectile moves (Jax's ground pound, for example).

There are several unblockable moves in the game. Go into training mode and practice, you will see whether a move hits high, mid, or low and if it's unblockable or not.

I suck at this game. Terribly. Went to a friend's house to try it out, and got whooped relentlessly. Was using Cyrax mostly, and I do seem to like him. Gotta learn how to really use him though. Anyone have ideas on what I should be doing if my net traps them in the air? How can I follow that up?

I'm pretty much a MK noob, never really played the old ones, so I have no idea where to even begin. I picked up Street Fighter fine, MvC3 I picked up ok as well, but this one is gonna be tough.

I thought night wolf turned into animals during some of his combos in an older game. If not then my bad, lol.

What I did was kept my distance and waited for Kahn to either throw his spear or his hammer; if he threw a spear, I teleported and did the Torpedo; if he threw a hammer, I teleported, stepped in, and uppercutted (as to not to Torpedo into the hammer, which flies slow and can still hurt you regardless of what you are doing). If I ever had an X-Ray, I substituted that move instead.

There's probably a better strategy, but that's the one I went with after an hour of futile frustration trying (and failing) to best him without spamming, haha.

That is the exact strategy that I used. I feel like if I really put in the time to beat him legit, I would. But I didn't have the time nor the patience to put up with him. I wish I could have fatality'd his *** after all the frustration he put me through.

LOL, same thing happened to me. I was in the place with all the bodies in the trees and the bastard popped on my screen. I was about a second away from having a heart attack after it happened.

Speaking as someone who has played all the MK games except Deception, I can't recall any MK character who did what you were describing. Maybe you're thinking of Bloody Roar (a PSX game where the fighters could transform into animals midfight)?

Speaking as someone who has played all the MK games except Deception, I can't recall any MK character who did what you were describing. Maybe you're thinking of Bloody Roar (a PSX game where the fighters could transform into animals midfight)?
