This game is reiterating the fact that I will never be good at fighters online. Everyone spams the special moves and you barely have any punches or non-super kicks thrown.

yeah i get fighting games for local multiplayer.

people play stupid online in all games.


you guys are really making me think hard about getting this. everyone in here pretty much loves the game. i used to love MK 2. playing my cousins and having a blast. decisions...............

Mainly what I have done is story mode and I am really loving this game, my only problem is now my one good 360 controller is starting to act crazy. Has my character jumping automatically sometimes which sucks. Was wondering if I should go with another MS controller, anybody fighting with the stick on the 360 controller instead of d-pad? Maybeone of the SF4 fightpads...or the Razor controller...any suggestions?

my controller does it too, pretty annoying. If the dpad on the 360 controller didn't blow *** I'd just use that.

With many games coming out now some of them don't warrant their sixty dollar price tag. Mortal Kombat is a prime example of buying a game and getting more than your money worth. The story mode alone is as long as Call of Duty's story. Then there's online. No game has recreated the arcade experience so well. Add in the challenge tower, tower of destiny that each fighter has their own unique ending, and krypt this is one the most complete packages in a video game today. A must own.

Agree 100%. I've only touched the Story and Challenge tower. I looked today and found out their are 300 challenges. Wow.

What regular combos have you guys found that inflict the most damage (not x-rays just normal combos). So far I have found Kung Lao has some pretty good combos. Today I have found that Sektor has a 6 hit 31% damage combo that's pretty easy to pull off.

As much as I don't like Sub-Zero, he has some good combos that start with a jump punch attack.

MK trilogy has an autocombo feature. Me and my wife would play and I would turn it on for her to make it fun for both of us. Wish this one had that feature.

On another note:

Anyone have any tips for combos? I can't get them down for whatever reason.

I say go to practice mode and try different things.

Like pick a char you like then use a special move, the hit another button after that. If they chain then ya got your first 2 moves in that combo and experiment from there.

I found it's easy to chain combos with characters who can grapple in the air or have moves that put your opponent into the air.

Like I said just mess around in practice mode and you will get beter.
