apparently there is big glitch in this game. most people will probably not see this but ill post it (in spoilers) for people who are playing online.

basically for the fighters who have it, you can stay in a state of parry.

A potentially game breaking glitch has been discovered in Mortal Kombat.
In game if you land a successful counter or parry you can automatically make that parry or counter continue to happen over and over again.
Simply by holding both triggers and pressing down you will keep your fighter in a state of permanent parry mode meaning you can automatically parry any incoming attacks.
This will work with any character who is able to perform a parry and will hopefully be patched soon.

I do know another patch is coming focusing with online improvements... so maybe it will be addressed in it.

That doesn't look a big deal at all - don't most have a projectile or unblockable that can hit them in that position?

I'm just curious as to why these fighting games on current gen consoles,(despite being more powerful than legacy gen) keep being stingy with the available fighters. It's honestly starting to irritate me. MvsC3 is a downgrade as well MK now. Very disappointing.

Anything less than 45+ characters these days is a serious insult. 20+ characters? What are we dealing with here, the 8 bit NES, or the 360/ ps3 2012 ****? Gimme a break. They'll get another 60 bucks out of me when they give me my 60 characters back. Good day.

I happen to agree, and that's my only beef with this new MK.

Picked this up yesterday. It truly is a great game, my only gripe is the story mode is weird. Each chapter is a different fighter? I suppose that is designed to show you the MK story while getting you accustomed to fighting with everyone and learning their moves?

It was kinda confusing at first. I didnt pay attention who won or lose and which fights were elimination fights. So when it came to certain scenes I was like ?.

Any tips on how to handle handicap tag matches?
I am still trying to learn combos. I can get one guy and then the next guy hits me with a xray move and my life is half tooken up

Just stick with it. It took me about 10 times before I figured out what was working and finally beat him.

I never get the complaint of not haivng enough charcters. 30 is plenty considering most people are only going to use a handful of them. I use Smoke, Stryer, Kung Lao and Scorpion and rarely touch anyone else when I play online. Only when I'm goofing around is when I'll use the other guys, but I don't know any of their moves or combos.

Also what fighting game had 45+ characters other than MvC2 and MK Armaggedon? Half of MvC2's characters are just clones of each other.

Exactly, we don't need more characters for the sake of having tons of characters. Especially when people will disregard the Meat, Moloch, and Mokap type characters. Plus MK doesn't even have 60 playable characters anyway. Imo this is plenty. The only newer characters I miss are Havik, Kenshi, and Bo' Rai Cho. But Kenshi is supposed to be DLC so really only the other two.
