Re: Mortal Kombat
Ashamed are we?
I understand, that site is riddled with 12 year olds that think that Deadly Alliance pwns all. I just stay away from the 3d the fan fiction forums lol. (Also, there sports forum always makes me chuckle, years of threads, mostly all about WWE)
EDIT:Kind of off topic, but does anyone have experience with arcade cabinets?Last edited by Scruffychicken; 05-09-2011, 05:04 PM.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
Just 22 more challenges to go. The last few have been ridiculous...Spoiler3 shao khans...the one with baraka, sindell, and shao khan...took me hours to beat these.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Spoilerre: 3 Kahn's with Stryker, all you have to do is go to the far side of the screen from him and shoot him repeatedly. lol, it shouldn't have taken hours but it was jarring at first.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
I finally sucumbed and did that. I like trying to tie combos and what not together but it didn't work out for me especially with that fighter. I spammed. The previous few though seemed to take forever.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Mortal Kombat
I finally tried the King of the Hill mode with 2 other friends and it is a riot! Just like the old days where we would pass the controller around and drink Mountain Dew 'til 5 AM.
They really went all out with the fatalities in this game. These are some of the best fatalities in the series aside from MK 1 and MK 2.
Kabal's second fatality is probably my favorite so far. That one is just straight up nasty.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
I haven't gotten to 300 yet, but just speaking of playing the ladder multiple times, you just have to learn to jump over them at the right time, wait for there attack (if you are behind them), then punish them while they're in there attacking animation.
That's probably the easiest way to beat boss characters I know of.

Re: Mortal Kombat
I'd try using a character with in easy jump-in combo, like Sub-Zero. All the people i've seen beat that (online and in person) seem to try to keep most attacts on her in the air (probably because most of her specials attack ground opponents).
Also, I believe the difficulty scales down each time you lose.Comment

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
