If PS3 is anything like Xbox 360, the game will lag a ton worse on ranked games than it will in private games against your friends.

I haven't had much issue with lag in private games, but any type of public match is pretty much unplayable for me.

FINALLY playing some PS3 online matches...Im actually doing well w\ JAX

I dont know if the lag or what but blocking is killing me...

Its like I cant block at the last minute....with all the quick teleporting moves it should be much more responsive...I hate having to babysit the block button...

maybe its just the lag though...

God if my internet wasn't so fn suspect I'd be having a great time online, as it is i get booted every 5 minutes. They're supposed to be out tomorrow to look at it.

I did get some matches in earlier though. Awesome.

Kind of an odd request:

Bought my game about a month ago, and never really worried about playing online. But now, I see you are supposed to get an online pass card (like many of the online games these days).

Can anyone upload a pic of the card? Not the actual code, but I want to see if I misplaced it. It's weird, but I have the Kitana extra costume card, but I don't see the online pass card anywhere.

I either misplaced it, or didn't get it with my game. Granted, I have had it since 4/14 and not entered it yet, so it's essentially my stupid fault.

What's funny is, I hid mine away knowing I would either misplace it or my kids would end up losing it while this whole ordeal with the psn went on. And of course....I forgot where I put it. :

I did find it though in my baseball card shoebox. But now I can't redeem it. smh

Slowly reaching the point where there is no point for me in playing online now since most of the people that are still playing are way better than me. I started out like 20-10 in the first week or so, but now I'm about 30-40. Same thing happened with SFIV and MvC3.

Slowly reaching the point where there is no point for me in playing online now since most of the people that are still playing are way better than me. I started out like 20-10 in the first week or so, but now I'm about 30-40. Same thing happened with SFIV and MvC3.

HAHA...I hear ya....takes time to master all of a characters special moves and combos, but it can really help get you some wins online once you do.

I do fairly well with Smoke. I can mash out his combos that take off 30-40% damage if you can get them started. It's the getting the combo started that's a problem against some people. They just have better reaction times than me or are much better at playing the spacing game and timing when they should get in close.

Been trying to get better at using other guys online like Kung Lao, just to have a little change up but its not working too well. If I were to go over my record, I'm probably about 25-15 with Smoke, and like 5-25 with anyone else.

Honestly, depending on the person your matched up against, a lot of it comes down to luck as to who starts to get the better of the other in the beginning of the fight. Usually once one player has the others health down 50% or more than their own they usually win. Comebacks are hard to come by in this game when your loosing bad unless you land a well timed x-ray. At least it seems like that for me.

And I'm not complaining about this....in fact I think I like it better that way
