Re: Twisted Metal (PS3)
My friend and I beat the game on co-op last night on Hard mode. This game is pretty difficult, especially the racing levels, but damn they are fun. Much more fun doing split-screen play rather than just being by yourself, but it's still great nonetheless.
I want to now beat it by myself on single player on Twisted difficulty. Should be a while haha.
Since I was doing campaign with a friend, I wasn't able to invite you two last night. Sorry about that.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Twisted Metal (PS3)
picked this up last week, becoming decent enough to let ppl know lol....anyone else still loading this up from time to time?
I enjoy the game, very much a change of pace from what i regularly play. I use the racing controls and they are good for me.Comment

I still play it, I really suck at it though... usually since when ppl see Crimson Fury/Kamikaze they tend to gang up on you. Add me on PSN if you wanna play sometime: SoulMatrix8Comment

Re: Twisted Metal (PS3)
Will do. Playing the single player helps. The progression/unlock system is very offputting. I can see newcomers giving up and getting frustrated very quickly. Most vehicles should have been made available for the start, in my opinion. I'm not "new"...but i was never good at TM.
I, also, think in online deathmatch their should be less players in the match to allow for more strategy, pickups, and chases/battles rather than having too many clusters of 5+ players.
The game is very enjoyable in the perfect setting. The shortcomings & frustrations isn't going to allow the community to grow. As long as pp are playing, i will be playing also.Comment

Re: Twisted Metal (PS3)
I still pop it in, and would love to play when free to. The host thing sucks though (when they don't start a game), and there definitely aren't as many available rooms as there used to be.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

The host thing is hilarious sometimes, but it's also frustrating, and I'd agree about the amount of rooms. It seems like when I refresh I have no idea what's going to come up.Comment

Re: Twisted Metal (PS3)
Anyway, online play is and always has been crack for me. The connecting issues, however, are still there just as much as they've always been there. If more people bought this game, they would have worked at getting patches in. I guess it just wasn't enough, though. Shame this game and SSX flopped sales-wise, because they are both fantastic games which deserve their due.
Anyway, because of the connecting issues, the amount of people on is incredibly sparse. Of course, when there are less people on, there are less people who want to go on. It kind of sucks.
The campaign is pretty fun though, especially when you can play split-screen co-op with somebody else. It's short-ish, but weren't they all? I'd say you can finish it in a few hours with a buddy, and try and play it on a harder difficulty as you get better.

Re: Twisted Metal (PS3)
I still play the game, the only huge issues I have is Reaper and Talon are broken, and I was saving my unlocks early in my playtime and for some reason I lost 4 unlocks. I can't get Junkyard Dog, or any of the first tier skins because 4 of my unlocks just disappeared. I get around 25 games every time I play and most are fine when it comes to connection. Add me on PSN if anyone wants to play.Comment

I had high hopes for this, yet I passed on buying it. I hated how fast the demo played. It was fun and I love the chaos, but I thought it played a little too fast, for my liking. I can still play TM2 and have a blast..
If I find a great deal, ill be sure to pick it up.
