I can't say it enough, this game is awesome....

If they add some choices/ consequences and more character development I'll be salivating over this like I do Mass Effect every year...

The main story and faction quests have some choices. I kind of like how Reckoning handles it. There's not many, but they aren't spelled out to you that this is bad or good with meters or changes in appearance. I like morality systems, but most modern day ones have very little grey area and can be gamed.

Does anyone know what letters and notes that you find are useful and which are flavor? I'm still lugging around a note about the well I found during the tutorial. But I know some letters start quests and at least one requires more than one letter be in your possession to trigger the quest.

I've come to the conclusion that unless it immediately starts a quest, or is obtained throughout a quest, the letter is useless...

            I may be wrong.

I have the ugliest armor in all of Amalur right now. Everything is a different color and looks radically different, except for the chest and leg pieces, but the bonuses from the unique drops are pretty awesome.

I'm playing on hard and that was by far the toughest battle I've faced. I accidentally used Reckoning just prior to the fight, so I didn't have that in my back pocket to use. I ended up dying a few times before chugging a bunch of status effect potions to power my way through.

The Widow quest has to be the most irritating in the game.

Hard is awesome until I get to the end of a dungeon, have to fight a boss, and only have 1 health pot left. Oh and I'm already at 50%.

After dying a couple times I drank like 10 random potions I had on me from experimentation w/ Alchemy and stomped him without using my one health pot, lol.

I'm like level 8 or so, and I have yet to find any other chest piece, I still have the one from the slave cave in the beginning, seems kinda random. If I found more I could break some down, and tradeskill myself one. I am tempted to save and see if breaking down the one I am wearing will get me the missing material I need to blacksmith something exponentially nicer.

I'm a brawler, have seen plenty of finesse leather chests and robes

I'm finding that even Hard isn't hard enough. I've had to make a house rule that either my chest or leg armor has to be standard clothing - like a peasants tunic or trousers or something. Makes for a bit more of a challenge.
