Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
I won't play the remaster until it eventually gets on Game Pass and the DLC comes out. I know that the lore is why the combat is the way it is, but I've often said that if The Witcher 3 had the combat of Amalur it might be the GOAT for me instead of a game that I to stop playing a third of the way into the game. For action games give me ultra easy, fluid controls and movement every time. Amalur itself is a top 25 game all time for me.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
So....I got silly and picked it up on a lark....
It's been a long time since I played this, but IDK....
It really doesn't look like a true remaster - it looks like a slightly polished PS3 version of the game. Still pretty and with it's unique art style, but even the menu screens have a 'dated' look to them.
I will say, the fidelity of movement and combat is still very much there.
If you're looking for a "next gen version" of the game, meh. If you're just wanting to be able to play the game on your current console...it's good enough...but it feels more like a PS3 port to PS4 if that makes sense. I have not gotten in deep enough (or remember enough) to tell you how good/bad any added content might be.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment
