    Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

To those wondering, I've been following Reckoning closely and I'm pretty sure it has been confirmed by Curt Schilling that there will be a sequel to Reckoning, and that sequel will be another single-player RPG, not the MMO. An MMO is coming though, but so are other single-player games as well. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Curt did confirm this.

Also, glad to see people are enjoying Reckoning as much as I am. I think it's an awesome game. Easily one of the better RPGs I have played, probably ever. It's really that good.

Curt did confirm this off of one of my posts on GAF which he has been replying back to people.

        Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

I know for sure I seen a confirmed KoA 2 and MMO. Ill have to search around.

        EDIT: Found it: http://www.analoghype.com/video-game...nd-loads-more/

-The demo of Reckoning that released last week was of a 3 month old build. This explains the various bugs present in the demo. Curt has said that the bugs aren’t present in the final build.

-Completionists will be delighted to know that the game clocks in around 200-300 hours if you really want to get and see everything that the world of Amalur has to offer.

-The first downloadable content for Reckoning will be released around the time that Mass Effect 3 comes out in March. This DLC will work on bridging Reckoning to the MMO tie-in, Copernicus, that 38 Studios is currently working on.

-Certain monsters from Reckoning will be playable in Copernicus.

-The character of Amalur are meant to be memorable. You’re going to see them in the future, whether it’s in Copernicus, or even Reckoning 2.

-Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning 2 confirmed.

        -Reckoning has gone gold.

-Reckoning will have advertisements during the Superbowl.

-Schilling will be on Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon to promote Reckoning.

-Special demos have been prepared for both shows.

-Schilling will be recording Kimmel’s show on January 26th, and Fallon’s show sometime next week. The air date of both of these episodes is currently unknown.

-To further promote Reckoning, 38 studios has given the 4-5 biggest live-streamers in the world a copy of Reckoning to stream on launch day.

-Speaking of launch day, GameStop will be holding a midnight launch for Reckoning, and Schilling will be at a midnight launch in Massachusetts.

Good to know. I'm excited to know that there will be sequels. Reckoning set the bar extremely high, so to top themselves they're going to have to make some incredible games. I'm sure they can do it though.

The MMO has been confirmed for awhile now. It's codenamed project Copernicus, and more information is coming later in the year. In fact if I'm not mistaken, the game itself may be coming this year, but don't quote me on that. I can't recall if Todd McFarlane said the game was coming this year, or simply more information. One or the other.

^^^ Looks awesome. I'm buying it tomorrow for sure. Probably won't get around to it right away though. There's so much content in this game already, it's tough to get around to doing everything. I'm already 75 hours deep and haven't even finished the Plains of Erathell yet, or even been to Detyre yet. The game is massive.

I am stuck where you have to duel someone to get a certain bit of armor for a House of Ballads thing. I am only level 13, do I need to level up or just keep hacking away until I win?

I was hoping the patch would coincide with the release of DLC, but still no word. Love the game, but it's a complete cakewalk at this point with my character.

Is the enemy's name in red? If it's red, that means you need to level up first before fighting it. If it's orange, that means it will be tough, but it's closer to your level so you can still kill it. If it's yellow, it's at your level, and if it's gray it's below your level.

Thank you. I realized my enemy had summoned other enemies that spew poison. I drew him out and was able to slay him one on one. I am getting back into this game and really enjoying it for what it is, not what I want it to be.

EDIT: Downloaded Legend of Dead Kel today. Will post impressions when I can.

I went to the new island as a level 16 Finesse/Sorcery build. So far there are a few new enemies and quite a bunch of bears, brownies and boggarts. I like the artwork in the dungeons.

Many of the reviews I read said Kel was like Monkey Island without the humor. So far that is dead on as my main companion is a lot like a female Guybrush, but not so funny IMO.

1.5 hrs in and no great loot, but enjoying my time in the DLC.

Finally started this bad boy up after finishing ME3. Man, this will be taking some serious time away from The Show. Having a God of War/Fable/MMO hybrid is just too much awesome.

Took some advice from the thread and started on hard. I've died a few times, but i'm starting to get my timing and evasion down. Definitely helps having unlocked the shield evasion maneuver or whatever it's called.

Can't wait to dive into it more when I get home.
