They stick around unless you spawn as a recon again. I don't use recon much so I don't have any other gadgets, but I was thinking you could place the UGS and then switch to another gadget and spawn as a recon again. I do it all the time on Operation Metro. Spawn as recon first, place UGS by escalators in the corner, switch to assault, and the map stays lit up with red markers.Comment

My God man. That is going to be my strategy from here in out. I really wish I would have known this earlier.
There are times where I would start off a match and place the beacon, then switch classes after dieing.
But I never thought to do that with the sensor until now. I'm also wondering if I respawn with the MAV equipped instead, would that keep the UGS on the map, essentially giving me two sensors...There wont be anywhere for the opposition to hide! Ha
Im starting every match placing the UGS. Then when I die, which will inevitably occur, I will switch to the MAV and place that on some unreachable area, in a different part of the map. Red arrows EVERYWHERE.
No wonder you're so damn good Mike. This makes things so much easier. This little trick is gonna catapult me to the top! Hopefully...lol
Wonder why more aren't doing this? Or maybe they are, and i'm just way behind. Haha.Comment

Make sure to keep it away from where enemies tend to throw grenades/shoot rockets (i.e. back corners from the entrance they are coming from) You need to place it in the same corner as the doors/entrances are so it'll run a lower risk of them destroying it with explosives plus it's closer to the enemy, so I guess you can spot them even earlier.
I'm not positive about the use of multiple gadgets either, I can't try it obviously as I don't have any other gadgets.Comment

Had some good games the last couple of days, fell in love with the M416 on the assault class again! Might start levelling up my Engineer class tomorrow.NFL - Giants]

General fixes
Significant improvements to the Squad Join interface, full details in this earlier blog post
Removed FIND ME A SQUAD option
Allow players to join empty Squads alone, thus having 1/4 Squad members
Change order of options to LEAVE SQUAD, INV A FRIEND, SWITCH TEAM
Disable Privacy flag when 1 man Squad
Reset Privacy flag from Private to Public when Squad drops to 1 player
All occupied Squads will now show up colored blue on the Squad selection screen
Players who choose not to join Squads will also show up as Blue in the “Not in a Squad” line
Squads that are currently empty will display as white — if you wish to join an empty Squad, you can choose the first one marked with white text
Added round duration and ticket summary at end of round screen
Fixed sound for when climbing ladders
Fixed and issue with some weapons’ sounds in first person view
Fixed a swim sound loop error
You should no longer be able to damage a friendly vehicle when sitting in an open position
Grenades now drop to ground if you get killed while attempting to throw it
Spawn protection now should work in Conquest so you no longer should spawn too close to enemies
You should no longer spawn too close to enemies in TDM and SQDM

Balance changes
Increased the damage of helicopter miniguns, AA guns, and jet cannons against infantry
Increased the damage of helicopter miniguns against jeeps
Reduced the physics impact of AA guns and jet cannons so players under attack from these weapons no longer should lose control
Increased the damage of the 44 Magnum slightly
Increased the range and minimum damage of the .357 Round from the MP412 Rex
Increased the range of all .45cal and 9mm weapons
Slightly increased the range of the P90 and MP7 and PDW-R
Slightly increased the range of the 5.56mm PDW-R and decreased the minimum damage at long range
Slightly increased the minimum range of the Mk11, SVD, and M39 EMR 7.62mm rifles
Decreased the maximum damage and maximum range of the G3 and SCAR-H 7.62mm weapons
Reduced the damage from FIM-92 and SA-18 IGLA missiles against aircraft
Increased the damage and range of the 40mm BUCK rounds
Reduced the damage .50cal weapons do against helicopters
Updated T90 canister shell tweaks to match Abrams canister shells

Dang my INVR or whatever the nightvision scope is called was nerfed. Even though it is more realistic now, my stats were very much over rated because of that scope. Now I cant stand to use it on a board in open daylight. Once you aim down the scope everything is blurry and it takes a couple seconds to adjust, then after adjusting things are not very clear.Comment

Battlelog is starting to really piss me off. So buggy and glitchy for me lately.
Either:
a) When I select a server, it says loading level for 5+ minutes, and it doesn't change.
b) It says I'm disconnected from the EA servers.
c) It says game is ready and launches the Single Player portion of the game...
I've been sitting here for the last 25 minutes, haven't gotten into a single game. It went on for an hour and half last night before I got fed up waiting for it to do something and left.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

I finally unlocked the M320 Smoke rounds. It helps out tremendously as attackers on Rush. The effects of the smoke are much improved over the smoke in BC2.
Attacking "A" of the second set of MCOMs in the subway tunnel on Operation Metro, I used smoke on one of the doors entrance. Every enemy in the room started shooting at the smoke giving away their position. My squad flanked and entered the opposite door killing the enemies. Another teammate and I were the last one standing. I arm the MCOM and my squad spawns on me. I smoke the room again to hide our positions and we take the base.
It was a memorable match because I got 3 medals in that one match. 33,100 award points.Comment

I've been playing some TDM, just to spice things up and to work on some of my gun unlocks. I've found a setup that's extremely fun to run with..
P90 w/ reflex and suppressor as a Support with Claymores..
I'm harassing people with it, pretty bad..Comment
