And speaking of flags there are 7 flags on a map all nicely spaced apart. It's a dream come true.
Quick question, is Rush enabled for these maps?Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

I might have mis read it, do you think it unlocked it, because it killed the driver inside ? I've had several opportunities to get someone with the torch, but I always forget and go for the dog tags.
I remember the trophy in BC2 for something similar. I think it was called 'The Dentist' or something similar.

Re: Battlefield 3
If you're on PC, play 64 player Conquest on ANY of these maps..... best game mode ever for these particular maps. You get a ton of points and the battles get pretty hectic over a single flag. You can easily have 6+ guys on each time in a cross **** crossfire battle with one or two tanks firing at each at the same time over one flag.... omg.... I don't want to go to bed.

If metro only had a top level to fight on and more flags to capture. Playing MW3 campaign they had metro there as well but it felt more like a subway system compared to BF3. The sprinklers going off the AP system in French....
As a BF2 vet I got my *** handed to me on Karkand....everything looks familiar but so different...again I was shocked at so many accessible buildings since the new maps barely had any.Comment

It was my first time destroying a tank like that. Funny thing is, I didn't even know about the assignment. I received the unlocked gun at the end of the match and was wondering why I got it. LolLast edited by TMagic; 12-13-2011, 07:53 AM.Comment

I hate flying an attack chopper, without a gunner..
It's hard to keep your' head on a swivel and still focus on vehicle and other aerial threats.. Iff you're in an intense battle with another chopper, it's awesome having a second set of eyes and guns..
It can really turn the tide, especially on a map like Caspian Border. We were in a really close battle earlier today and Jnes and myself got in the chopper and were able to neutralize all the enemy tanks, giving our team the chance to secure all the objective and pull out the win. There was a good chance we may have won anyways, but we were playing tug of war, while the team mates captures one only to run to the next and let the enemy recapture the other flags.

Ok, I was reading through the forums and I figured out why I hate the aerial warfare aspect of this game. There's basically no way for one guy on the ground to take down an intermediate/experienced pilot. Every way to effectively take down a pilot requires at least two people. Two simultaneous stingers, 1 soflam/javelin, 1 CITV/Guided Shell, etc. This brings two problems
1) on console, that's 1/6 of your team focused on ONE vehicle. On PC that's not so much of an issue when it's 24-32 players on your team, but this is a significant portion of your team to focus on possibly 1 guy on the other team if you only have 12 people on your team (and sometimes you have less then that).
2) The teamwork factor needs to be on both sides...if it requires two people to take a jet down, it should take two people to wreak havoc in a jet and all helicopters - meaning either you fly or you fire. Every vehicle requires a co-pilot to inflict any harm on the ground. Air to air is ok, but air to ground requires two player. Otherwise, one man on the ground should be able to take out one man in the air.
If they do that I think it would help, because at least on PS3 in the games I've played, its not like choppers dominate most games and if I see a chopper really causing trouble I'll go to the stationary emplacement and usually I at least help to take it down

With respect to rotary, generally you can take one out as a single man with a Javelin. The Javelin reloads quick enough that their flares won't be up before you can get the second one off and unless the know exactly where you shot from will not be able to move out of range.
I do think the stationary air defense weapons could use a boost. If someone is camping your air vehicles you should be able to wipe them out with the AA guns.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
Map Day!!
Damn. I shouldn't have said anything. I may have jinxed us on that last one.
Good games today fellas. It had to have been at least 20 straight. I jumped on at about 3 or so and just got off now when we finally lost.
EDIT: Nevermind. Checked Battlelog. Won 14 out of 15 before that last lost. It may have been more. Battlelog only records the last 16 matches.
We won 12 straight before that last lost. Straight domination. lol
Here's a great primer video for you. It's for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 so there are class differences now, but the general philosophies presented are all sound and it's entertaining:
My top piece of advice is try to stick with some experienced players on your team, follow them and support them. Watch their back, watch what they are doing. You WILL get some kills along the way, and play your role.
-If you are support, hand out ammo and use that LMG to suppress targets for others to finish off, SPOT enemy players, armor, and aircraft.
-If you are assault, hand out healing/medkits, revive teammates to save spawn tickets for your team, use cover and take objectives and defend them, SPOT enemy players, armor, and aircraft.
-If you are engineer, repair vehicles, blow vehicles (and entrenched enemy soldiers) up with your rockets, SPOT enemy players, armor, and aircraft.
-If you are recon (toughest class), your first priority is recon, so find a good location and SPOT enemy players, armor, and aircraft. Snipe targets of opportunity when you are assured the kill. Try to set up your spawn beacon gadget in a safe place relatively close to objectives.
Oh, and don't forget to spot, and support your team in whatever class you are using. Good luck.GO 'HAWKS!
