Since the game has been out a while, what is everyones weapon of choice and what set up do you have with it?

RUSH/OFF: AEK-971 w/ suppressor, Russian holo, and fore grip.
- MP443 Tact. ,Smoke, Defibrillator, and Squad Flak

I haven't unlocked much for the Support/Recon classes.. I'm trying to max out assault/engineer first.

I do make some changes, sometimes. I'll change back to the med-packs if I keep finding myself hurt or team mates are constantly hurt.

I swap launchers up, depending on the map and the vehicles coming. There are also times where I'll go to spawn and see a squad mate is in a tank, so I'll swap to engineer and the repair tool so I can spawn and repair the tank.

I've been sticking with the F2000 with foregrip, holographic site and suppressor or heavy barrell. I have also used flash suppressor. I play as assault almost exclusively, sometimes on vehicle driven maps I will switch to engineer.

The default guns for now...I'm just unlocking everything before going to the other guns...

I'm a support guy, and my fave gun is the M249 w/ext mag. 200 rounds of hellfire to attack/defend MCOM stations and flag points

I don't use optics for this gun, do use a bipod.

On TDM, I'll switch to a DAO-12 shotty...LMGs aren't very practical in TDM, at least for my money.

I noticed something, last night, and I was wondering if someone could verify..

I ran out of ammo in my rifle, so swapped to the pistol and got a kill and picked up the guy's aks-74u, which I never use. The gun has a scope on it, and after I used it, it popped up on my screen and I unlocked the scope.

Has anyone else had this happen ?

I'm seeing a lot. They back up until you can only see their shoulders. I saw one dude behind a trash can (next to a building) kill a ton of people.

Nobody could see him on kill cam because he was imbedded in the wall. He must have had 10 kills before we figured it out.

BF noob question but does the suppressor in this game work like it does in call of duty? Meaning, is the purpose of it so you don't show up on the minimap? This is the first BF game I have played a ton of and I'm seeing that I get killed by guns with suppressors quite often but I haven't really used it myself. And does it cause your gun to have less range/be less accurate?

Yes works the same way as in CoD.

I didn't use a suppressor, until about a week ago. It's really grown on me and unless I'm spotted by someone, it helps to keep me off the radar..

After reviewing my stats at bf3stats.com, I see that TDM is real double-edged sword for me LOL.

On the plus side, it's good for my K/D, overall kill count, and accuracy...and it's kinda fun to run around and blast people with my DAO-12.

On the negative side, it's murder on my win/loss ratio

. That in of itself is rough and nearly outweighs all the +'s.

Oh well. Is what it is. I may try to stick with just objective modes for BF3 and do my murderous rampages on MW3 in Kill Confirmed mode LOL.

10 all-new Assignments extend the persistence
The Back to Karkand expansion pack is much more than just maps. We are also adding a new layer of persistence in the form of ten Assignments. These will be tracked no matter if you play a base game map or expansion pack map, and add a new way to unlock things in the game.
