@Battlefield: Today's Xbox 360 #BF3 patch is from Microsoft. Update will not change anything in-game. Our BF3 patch for 360 & PS3 at a later date.

            Quick question.....
Do any of you guys think hacking is possible on this game on consoles??

The reason I ask, there is a guy in the platoon that I'm in swears that anything that seems to happen "unfairly" is due to hackers. I've went on to explain to him that there are several factors that go into what he considers "hacking"....latency,lag as well as ping.....the leaderboards clearly show how easy it is to boost, but I wouldn't call this hacking such as aimbots and wall hacks.

I know BF3 uses dedicated servers,so I figured this was not even possible, but trying to convince this guy has started to become a lesson in frustration.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

From my understanding (on PS3) the only way to do such hacks on, if the console was jailbroken....and from what I've read,Sony has/had a way to tell if it was and somebody tried to go online, they would be console banned.

I may be way off on this,or just misunderstood the article, but that's the way I interpreted the info.

                  Re: Battlefield 3

Greatest moment in my entire multiplayer experience: Playing Conquest on Damavand Peak (the one with the mining tunnel in the middle). An opponent tank is trying to take C from us and he's parked right next to the flag. I'm an engineer with M15 mines. My secondary weapon was a stinger so I couldn't take him out with that. As I sneak around behind him, the gunner in the tank sees me and hops out to try and find me. I plant a mine right behind the tank and then see the guy sitting between the fence and the tank. I kill him with my suppressed AEK-947. I go around to the front of the tank and drop another mine in the road. All this time, I'm thinking he's gonna see me and light me up with either the cannon or the gun - the rush was very exciting! So I leave the area to let him secure the flag and drive off. He drives over the mine and BOOM! vehicle disabled - 100 pts, enemy killed - 100 pts, and vehicle destroyed - 50 pts. I proceed to reclaim the flag and ninja off into the darkness of the tunnel.

I love this game because there are SO many ways to play. It's almost sandbox type game play.

My new favorite thing to do in this game is put an ammo box on the wing of a helicopter then fly around tossing C4 out the passenger door.

                    Death from above!

                      Re: Battlefield 3

Finally got a chance to play some BF3 last night after being away from the game for a week plus. Playing defender on Rush as an Engineer and got really frustrated because I couldn't destroy a helicopter or plane to save my life.

I don't know if it's because so many people have leveled up since the last time I've played, but it was like every single time I lock on a target and shoot it's countered by flares. So I have a couple questions....How many flares do the flight vehicles have? And is there anything I should be trying differently to take these down or should I just give up on trying to take down aircraft? Any tips/info is appreciated.

As soon as you fire your first stinger missile, immediately load another one up and lock on....he will no doubt shoot the flares on the first attempt, but you'll already be ready with the second shot as it takes a little longer to recharge his flares....the BOOM...no more helicopter.

While this usually works, jet pilots can out manuever flares by accerlerating out of slow turns, and sometimes Choppers are doubled up on flares, so it's not as easy against the better pilots, especially now with the nerfs to the Stinger/Igla. That's the reason I wanted the SOFLAM so badly because I spent almost an entire round trying to get this jet out of the sky and it would've been so much easier if we just painted him and focused fire. He avoided EVERY friggin' rocket I shot at him so I equipped the explosives perk and made it my mission to bring his *** out the sky. I ended up killing him twice but I had to have shot at least 20 rockets at him.

On another note, I unlocked the SOFLAM last night (PP-2000 is awesome btw) but no one made use of my targets. Kind of frustrating. I did find some luck before I signed off after I kept telling people who were using Javelins to join up with me and help take out some of the armor (we were getting destroyed by tanks/lav's on Op. Firestorm.) One guy joined my squad after my chat spam and we had few good runs. I was able to get up the crane next to the A flag and deploy on the very edge, giving me a view of every flag except D. We were able to take out like 4 tanks before I died on that run. Next run I set up by C on that multi-level thingamajig, which again, gave me an awesome view of the majority of the flags (all except E and anything behind the two buildings at A & B). I think we were able to get a tank and a chopper on that run before someone ninja'd me while I was operating and ended the fun.

Recon is a lot of fun to play man. I still like seeing things go boom (love you Engy), but the gadgets Recon has can really turn the tide of the battle. And this is before I've had a chance to troll anyone with the MAV. Got my eye on that and that Reactive Armor for my tank.

VOIP maybe coming to BF3 PC in the next patch along with many other improvements.

                              http://bf3blog.com/2011/11/upcoming-...inted-by-dice/

Just days ago, DICE released a huge Battlefield 3 PC patch weighing in at 450MB, fixing a whole slew of issues (you can find a fill list of release notes here). However, some of the promised fixes didn’t make it into the patch.

For instance, the tactical flashlights did not get fixed as previously promised, and neither did the change/nerf to the IRNV infrared sight. But fear not, those changes will be made in the upcoming patch DICE is currently working on.

Here’s a list of confirmed items/changes that will be addressed in an upcoming Battlefield 3 patch, as posted on Battlelog:

                              - In-game VOIP addition
                              - Tactical light nerf
                              - Chat window changes (size, positioning)
                              - New squad changes (ability to make squads)

These are just some of the issues that are being worked on, and, according to DICE, they are well aware of the huge demand for Battlerecorder in Battlefield 3.

I've got the SOFLAM and the MAV unlocked. I used the SOFLAM but nobody took advantage of it. The MAV on the other hand was fun to use.

To be honest I hate playing sniper as I love getting on the thick of things. So I just changed scopes and used the acog to get in to the battle rather than set up somewhere far. I'm currently working on getting the invr for the sniper guns before they get nerfed.
