I was on 360 last night too...I tried to get in wit ya Koolie, but your team was full.





Mike pretty much answered your question, Jistic. I took my lumps on the 360; started off just awful with .2 something KDR and didn't know my head from my ***, LOL. It was all learning curve, and out of the almost 55 hours I've played on 360, much less than half of that was me playing with randoms. Only 30% or so of the time I was playing with OSers as guys kinda stopped playing.

So, jumped on PS3 with almost 50 hours experience on 360...learned the controller, and always play with OSers and now I'm nearly decent, haha.

I still have things I want to accomplish on my 360 version so you'll still see me on there. I'll be sending you a FR for 360 if that's allright.

Totally makes sense, and by all means add me and we'll squad up.

I'll add nuni too.

About the USAS, when you die, if they had another gun...would you have died? The guns are annoying, but with the size of the battlefield. If you're getting killed close range..might want to be a bit more mindful or equip better close range weaponry.

But to get shot in the back, side, from 5 ft away...you would have died anyway.

The problem is the frag rounds & firerate as it doesn't even have to hit the person just near or around him off walls and objects. Just shoot in the general area and it's a good bet you'll get multiple kills. Even close range weapons are at a disadvantage as it's instant death. Myself I would just remove the frag rounds from all shotguns and lower the firerate of the USAS.

Most of the time NO, I would not have died with another gun. The problem with the Frag rounds is really noticable in Rush when people are defending an MCOM. If the MCOM is in a small room (like first one on Grand Bazaar), it is nearly impossible to get people out of that room if they have the USAS frag rounds. I wouldn't have that much of a problem with the USAS, but it is just too effective at longer ranges. You shouldn't be able to cause much damage unless you are very close. That simply is not true with the USAS, and really all shotguns that have the frag rounds.

Just beat the campaign last night & I thought overall, it was pretty good. It had its cool moments!

The M320 doesn't bother me, because it takes time to reload.

Same with getting blasted by an RPG.

I don't even know how they could nerf it, without just removing it completely. They've been a little fishy about some of the previous nerfs. I think the SCAR was just fine the way it was, on release. I can't even use the gun anymore.. I have to use the A-91.

The assault has several great guns.. AEK-971, FAMAS, and F2000 are my personal favorites.

I agree it's not the gun that's the problem it's the frag rounds. I have used the shotguns with the buckshot and fleshette rounds and it is alot more fair but put the frag rounds on it's like your a human cannon. I am not one to be nerf happy as that can hurt the game just as much but the removal of frag rounds I think is the best solution.

I really need a new modem/router... Of course when I feel like playing some battlefield, I can play one match then disconnect the next. Game is full now... ruins my crave for battlefield.

TMagic, I really enjoyed that use of the MAV. I would have never known all of those guys were on the roof tops next to me or even in the same building.

I am getting this around 11:30 CST tonight. Anybody interested in partying up and playing? I'd like to get a full squad of 4. I seem to enjoy the game a lot better when playing with guys from OS that actually use some sort of strategy.

I like to use the AN 94...i see it has automatic fire now..i guess i hadnt been paying attention to update notes. In general, i like to use what everyone else doesnt use..become good at it...

My go to gun for assault used to be the AEK-971 until the FAMAS came out, for support I use the M249, and for recon I use the M98B

I had a match yesterday with authentic and another OSer (for the life of me can't recall who it was) and I went 29-2 and over half (15!!) of my kills were from mortars.


I kept taking out their mortar guys 2 at a time, and got a few double kills when guys were at the MCOM trying to arm it. I even got a nemesis ribbon...all from mortars. That guy had to have hated me

The other 14 kills literally came at only 2 instances. The first one...the other team all rushed the first MCOM and I took them all out (8 of them since I got a combat effeciency ribbon) and the other time, on the same MCOM, about 3 guys rush but they had a medic that kept reviving the guys I killed so I got 6 kills from that.

Moments like that are why I love LMGs because while they are reloading I can still shoot and take out a bunch of guys at a time, and if I flank a squad I can do work on them.

The only thing I don't like is the terrible inaccuracy of the LMGs. There's been times where I'm at about 10 meters from a guy, and my HOLO sight is aiming right at his chest (I suck at headshots just check my stats) and I fire off maybe 10-20 shots of burst fire and not one hit marker...then I obviously get killed. I'm like WTF? It might be lag I guess, but I know LMGs are programmed to spray a lot. But that's just ridiculous to me

I'm also getting too greedy with knifing people...one time authentic took out a guy I was about to knife and I was like "noooo! I wanted his tags!"

That happened to me the other night and I was so pissed. Playing Rush on Firestorm and we got to the 2nd set of MCOM's. I ran all the way around the left side and went up the stairs onto the catwalk and ran all the way back to the building on the right and jumped on the roof. There was a sniper laying down on the corner and I was running up behind him to take those tags. Some guy spawned on me right as I got on the roof. So he sees me running the entire length of the building making a beeline for this sniper and right when I got to him he shoots him from the the other side of the roof. I was really mad when it happened, but now that I've typed this out, it is kinda funny. LOL. He got me.

Hey, according to the bottom of the main page it's my 45th birthday LOL. So I made myself an appropriate avatar for today.

to all my mates here and 'colleagues in arms' on 360 and PS3, and thanks so much for making BF3 as much fun as it can be. That game is only at it's finest when playing with friends! Thank you also for letting me play in the clan, that is great fun!

PS: I took my birthday swats last night, didn't I Koolie and Jistic (the Raping at Kharg Island)? Oooowwwwwwww.....
