    DLC Guns:

Here’s the list of seven out of ten weapons with the most likely type and class in parenthesis.

    SPAS-12 – (Semi-Auto Shotgun/All Classes)
    ACW-R – (PDW/Engineer Class)
    L86 – (LMG/Support Class)
    MTAR-21 – (Also known as TAR-21 assault rifle/Assault Class)
AUG – (Although some games classified this weapon as an LMG, the AUG is an assault rifle, thus should be in available to the Assault Class.)
    LSAT – (LMG/Support)
SCAR-L – (Battlefield 3 already has the SCAR-H (heavy) for the Engineer Class. L stands for light, so it’s likely to be included in the Engineer Class as well.)
Three more weapons that have yet to be revealed.
Seven brand new weapons have been revealed in the debut trailer for Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, the first of three expansion packs coming to Battlefield 3 throughout the year. During the trailer, if you pay close attention to the kill feed in the top right corner, you can notice seven of the ten new weapons that will […]

Another good night of gaming with Hung. My improvements are steady and at the moment I rack up most of my points from giving health and defribbing teammates.

Looking to get back into BF3,looking for some squad mates. I already have ComfortablyLomb on my friends list, and looking forward to finally gaming with him as well...so if you're looking for a team player that uses a mic,go ahead and shoot me a friends request on PSN and mention OS in the message.

My gt is Kramerking5150....I switch up between rush and conquest.

The TAR was one of my favorite guns in MW2. It had a bit of a learning curve with it, but once mastered, it was deadly..

I wonder how it will do with BF3.

I've been back on an F2000 kick, lately. I'm trying to get 1000 kills with the FAMAS, AEK-971, and F2000 and I'm fairly close with them all.

                  YES

With no vehicles or large open expanses, these maps will be popular Team Deathmatch destinations, but Bach says all four maps support every pre-existing gameplay mode, plus a brand new one the studio isn't revealing just yet.
                  I'm sold on this now.

With Close Quarters, DICE goes head to head with other infantry based shooters. Is it the smart move for a series known for vehicular play and open maps?

I plan to get all the packs, but damn, we have to wait another three months before the first one is available. I'm actually glad all the small maps still support rush and conquest--if they were TDM only I probably would have passed. Although since I'm better with a gun in my hand as opposed to the controls of a vehicle, it makes sense I would prefer this style.

...nope not AT all. I figure BF3 already HAS maps for those that enjoy that type of thing,it's called TDM.
When I think of the BF series I think of wide open gameplay and vehicle use...not shoebox sized map to where I feel like a mouse searching for the piece of cheese.(Operation Metro anybody?)

I'm not knocking those that enjoy those types of maps or games, but for ME, that's not what Battlefield is,I understand wanting to get a larger player base, but I feel (imo) that it's alienating alot of the BF players that remember what differentiated this series from everything else.

Yeah, I'll ALWAYS prefer the wide open maps over maps like Metro, but they're all fun and it's a nice change of pace.

I would love a remake of some old Battlefield: MC maps and bring back Isla Ilocentes and the jungle map from BC2..

I agree 100%. But I don't mind the non-vehicle maps and I've actually been rather disappointed with the destructible environments in bf3, so I'm hoping this raises the ante in that department. I would love to see like an entire room get blown out or a floor collaspe onto another floor. Wishful thinking on my part I know...
