Well I guess I'm a rare entity that plays it for the fun as well as the story...Because in Saints Row 3 they mention SR1 and SR2, etc. Even Julius....in which a lot of people wouldn't know who he is, if they didn't play part 1, or 2.

And so forth, I agree the story can do a lot of things.........But continuing to add on from the previous games is great. I guess I'm 1 in a million who can appreciate the substance on top of all the outrageous action...

I appreciate Saints Row for what it is as a series..

Hey Behindshadows, I loved and finished SR1 and 2, does 3 continue the story from the previous 2 enough to buy it?

Yes it does...it takes place years after you guys took over...And years have passed. A lot of the past is mention and a few other things that will bring back memories.

finally got around to playing this, what a great game. Put 5 hours straight into it and can't wait to get off work and play more. Between Forza 4, Skyrim, and this, I might be set for the rest of the gen..

Just got this game....i thought the mutiplayer was good?......is there not a free roam option like in the Grand Theft Auto games?

I started the story last night.....im loving it. Did anyone else get the crap scared out of them when the first brute came? And the first mission with options at the end, I swear I sat there for 4 minutes debating on what I wanted to do.

I started a new game last night having decided to roll through the game as a badass redheaded Russian chick. Maybe its jut me, but I like the female clothes selection a lot more than the men's. I feel like there are more "looks" (outfits) to go with. This morning I was running around with a cheer uniform on. Last night I did my best Peggy Bundy look (there's an actual Saint gang member that has that look down pat) and before I quit I started rolling with a "minimum combat" look.

Anyway, I put in about 6 hours last night and this morning and have yet to finish the first Act, haha. Too much **** to do and I feel like I have to keep buying stores so I can haz teh moneyz.

I got through the first Act yesterday. Other than that, I've been having entirely too much fun DDTing random pedestrians.

I went with a Fedora, the suit jacket w/sweater, and some slacks for my guys' clothes. Girls definitely have more options for females though.

Thought I was the only one that saw the Johnny Cat screen on the computer. Also in that crib and one of the others, you can see Shaundi's issue of Playboy (known as Boytoy in the game I believe) lying around on a table in that crib above and on the bathtub of the safehouse/crib.

This game truly has it all!
