re: Saints Row: The Third
The brutes are so damn annoying, I really wish that there was a way to delete them from the game.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I like sprinting away. Or if I have them, unload some RPGs. If its a brute with a weapon, I pick it up and start using it. It also helps to destroy the vehicle before the brute is dropped off.

I just like the accomplished feeling of killing them. It also helps that I still haven't accomplished the Brute killing challenge yet.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

re: Saints Row: The Third
I beat the game and have just about all the upgrades but they're still annoying. I just want to go on a rampage, I don't want to have to look out for those trucks so that I can blow them up before they get dropped off. It's the only thing in the game I can't stand.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

re: Saints Row: The Third
I rented this game a couple days ago just expecting some mindless killing to relieve some boredom.
As someone who played Grand Theft Auto starting with the first one on the PS1 and the later sequels I found the formula stale after the third entry into the series and have had a very hard time playing these kind of games since (GTA San Andreas, Liberty City, IV, etc...). I hadn't played Saints Row much before but I went into this just expecting more of the GTA formula. I was so wrong.
The games are identical in many ways, but they just feel so different. GTA almost seems like a sim game with it's story compared to SR. Both games are over the top, but SR embraces that fact so much more and the experience is a lot of fun.
I'm really wanting to get the first 2 games to play through the story in those too.
SpoilerIn one of the first missions when my character started singing What I Got by Sublime, I knew I was going to enjoy this game.Comment

re: spoiler
There is a similar instance in Saints Row 2, as well. Its not part of the main story, though.

Plus part 2 had some DLC Expansions that were amazing, Ultor Missions were greatness!Comment

Sister Christian was the one I remember. I was flying a plane with my guy and he started belting it out, haha.

My SR2 guy sang to the final countdown, which was hilarious in its own way, but I also had it as a ringtone at that time because the song is awful.Comment

re: Saints Row: The Third
Didnt really feel the game at all. Way to over the top for me. SR1 was outstanding and SR2 was great also. SR3 just didnt feel like the same series to me. I think its ok if you go off a little, but when you stray to far from the core you lose something.Member of OS since Dec 2002 BKA amaizinblueComment
