Burial at sea sounds like it going to be worth picking up Bioshock again, but hopefully it not going to be this long of a wait for only an hour of content.

I was looking around a men's bathroom today for awhile and the door flings open and I hear Elizabeth yell "Are you alright in there?"

Re: BioShock Infinite
Im going through the 1st Bioshock again, this time on Survivor without Vita Chambers.
As much as I love Infinite, it doesn't hold a candle to the First one. I am so engaged again and can't put it down.
I think its the Survival horror aspect of the 1st game that keeps me gluedCharger Fan Born and Raised!

Yeah the first one is legendary.
There is something about the aura of the atmosphere that keeps you engaged that much more.
I am excited to see Rapture again though.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

See, I liked Columbia more. It feels more like a living, breathing city to me. Outside of it flying it's the most plausible setting in a video game I've ever seen.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

I enjoyed Infinite more as an overall game, but I don't know if anything can ever beat Rapture. Maybe because it's darker and more claustrophobic. Columbia is fantastic as well but it just didn't grip me the same.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Re: BioShock Infinite
I definitely prefer Columbia. I'm not a fan of dark, claustrophibic, zombie settings so I never really touched the Bioshock series prior to Infinite. After going back to playing B1 after beating Infinite, I wasn't wholly impressed. I think it was a combination of things though (not just the setting itself). For instance, the first game in the series seemed to tilt slightly closer to "survivor", whereas Infinite felt more open to freedom and discovery which, in terms of gaming preferences, played exactly into my hands.
But to go back to the setting, I tend to just have one big blobbed memory of Rapture - dark rooms with glassy tunnels in between. Whereas with Columbia, I have a wide variance of memories of beauty, extravagance, darkness, lightness, and everything in between. Once again, it was just a little more in line with what I look for out of a game setting. Rapture felt singular, Columbia felt nearly all-encompassing.
That said, I totally see the merit in preferring Rapture. It'd seem to better project the ideas and feelings of desperation and unease.Last edited by VDusen04; 08-08-2013, 08:48 AM.Comment

SpoilerElizabeth's "Well I want a puppy but that doesn't mean I'm going to get one!" line after she finds out she's Comstock's daughter is awesome.

Re: BioShock Infinite
I re-watched my brother beat this game in about two days. Basically had to beg him to give it a shot (he hated watching me play the first one, for whatever reason), and by the time he had finished, he called it the best video game he's ever played.
It's like a superb film where you get to control the protagonist.Writer for Operation Sports

I remember telling someone that if this didn't have the game parts it would probably still be in my top 5 favorite movies ever.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: BioShock Infinite
In terms of exploration, the game is pretty much broken up into levels, as opposed to being a completely open environment like, say, Red Dead Redemption. However, within those levels (which can be re-traced), there seems to be a fair amount of things to be discovered. Also, I found the environment quite fascinating in its own right, so I tended to look around and check things out just for the sake of seeing what I'd come across next. The amount of time I spent on the the game likely multiplied by five just because I was wandering around so much.
I cannot recall if there's a completion percentage.
Yeah, the game was kind of crazy like that. If I'd walked in on my brothers playing it, I'm not sure I would have been particularly impressed either, depending upon where they were at. However, actually sitting down, buying in, and starting the game off proper really brought everything to life.I re-watched my brother beat this game in about two days.
