Re: BioShock Infinite
One interesting thing about it ...
SpoilerBefore you go into the final lighthouse, she has on whatever pendant you chose. But in the final baptism scene, she doesn't have a pendant. Not exactly sure what that means, if anything.Comment

I kept thinking about it when she was running around figuring out the clues from the letter.
She mentions caged bird a lot and I wondered if maybe she was trying to tell me something.
I chose the bird. So the caged thing always threw me off but I wondered if maybe that was part of it.
I guess the story script remained no matter the decision and it's really just part of the narrative to have a choice.

Never even used that vigor.

Re: BioShock Infinite
SpoilerI didn't notice that the first time, I just noticed that it wasn't there at the end. I'm going to have to pay more attention on the second playthrough.
I'm still formulating my theories on the end.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
SpoilerYes I laid a few around it and tried to stay around the core so that it would take some of the bullets meant for me. Bucking Bronco and the chain effect gear helped me alot while I waited for the songbird ability to recharge, I was playing through it on hard.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
Having no previous experience with the Bioshock series, I bought this game solely based off the glowing and in-depth review Adam Sessler of Rev3Games gave it a bit back. Tonight, I just finished it.
WOW.
A+ will play again. That is all.

Re: BioShock Infinite
I just finished the original BioShock and I must say, I very, very much prefer Infinite. I found the original BioShock world much less interesting (I liked the artwork but constant darkness made a lot of areas seem similar to one another). I also never really got reeled in to the storyline and it seemed like half the time I'd pick up a recording, I'd start getting attacked while I was trying to listen (or another voice over would override it). And I don't know if this will make sense or not, but in the original, it kind of felt like I was just shooting zombies, which I'm not a fan of, whereas the characters in Infinite seemed more life-based even though they were often pieces of science fiction.
I also felt gunplay was a little more erratic and a little less rewarding in the original. I could sneak a headshot at an unsuspecting and it still seemed like I had to blast away for a while to get the kill. Upgrading was neat, but often it felt like I was just shooting at a wall for a moment, even against the weakest characters. Not to mention, I felt like entering aim mode was almost a detriment most times with how jumpy and skittish the enemies were. I liked some of the plasmids we don't see in Infinite but I definitely didn't like not being able to use a gun and plasmid at the same time. On top of everything else, I was expecting a moral conundrum with saving the little girls, but it seemed like the payoff was solid enough to just help them every time.
Altogether, the original made me realize how special I found Infinite to be. I found the storyline much more riveting and immersive. Somehow, someway, it just seemed easy from Infinite's start to make myself believe I was embarking on a journey. The premise was obviously so fake, yet, it felt so legit. And after my BioShock 1 run, as much as I enjoyed the wrench, I very much missed my skyhook.
For someone not normally drawn to sci-fi first person shooters, I felt Infinite improved upon just about every aspect of the original.Last edited by VDusen04; 05-09-2013, 11:00 PM.Comment
