Wow, this game is one of the best games I have ever played. It was like a good book that I couldn't put down.Comment

The first 5 minutes of Burial at Sea are up on IGN.
I'm not going to watch it, but it's there for the curious.
All I want is a ****ing release date at this point.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: BioShock Infinite
I picked this game up a couple weeks ago for $30. Played it for about an hour and then GTA Online took over my life. I have to find some time for this game soon.NFL - Vikings

http://kotaku.com/stop-making-porn-w...r-p-1442945516Ken Levine has seen all that porn people are making out of Elizabeth, from BioShock Infinite, and he wants you to know That's Not Cool. "It's like coming across a picture of your daughter," he says.
"Seriously, whoever is doing the Elizabeth porn on deviantart, please stop it," Levine said. "You're killing me."
"I die a little inside with every page view."Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
I got a few hours into it and completely lost interest for some reason. Maybe it was The Last of Us. I remember thinking the world looked really cool, but the story wasn't really sucking me in that well.
Could also be because I had just finished my first playthrough of I and II and was just burnt out on the gameplay style.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
Fun to see. This game was so incredible to me on my first few playthroughs. I haven't played it in a few months so it was refreshing to come across it once again. This may be a Top 5 all-timer for me. I got lost in that game, and I mean that in the best possible way.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
It had the complete opposite effect for me. I was bored to tears. I couldn't wait for it to end. The combat was rote. The powers were lame for the most part it. The story was ambiguous and convoluted. I loved Bioshock 1 & 2 and Minerva's Den DLC. This game was such a disappointment. I bought both the PS3 version and the Songbird Edition for 360. What a waste. My wife was even more disappointed than I was. She's a HUGE Bioshock fan. She has played through the first two games at least five times each. She listens to the soundtracks constantly. She owns I don't know how many t-shirts. She sat through my entire playthrough and constantly kept saying how disappointed she was and I wholeheartedly agreed. When it was over we just looked at each other and said "Wow...bummer."
We're both baffled at all of the accolades and high praise the game has received. I understand the hype leading up to release because of the series' previous track record. But all of this GotY and best games ever made stuff is truly baffling to two of the biggest Bioshock fans you can find.
I might be interested in the DLC though.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
I can feel where you're coming from. There's probably an entirely different set of expectations from huge fans of the series itself. I'm personally not a fan of creepy, zombie-like affairs so for the most part, I had a tough time ever getting into previous Bioshocks. In fact, one of the biggest reasons I was able to latch on to Infinite was because it wasn't like previous Bioshocks. It had the complete opposite effect for me. I was bored to tears. I couldn't wait for it to end. The combat was rote. The powers were lame for the most part it. The story was ambiguous and convoluted. I loved Bioshock 1 & 2 and Minerva's Den DLC. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I knew I wasn't a Bioshock fan and thus had tempered expectations.Comment

I can't blame you. Especially with how long it took to develop and the rumored $200 million budget. It had the complete opposite effect for me. I was bored to tears. I couldn't wait for it to end. I'm bummed both DLCs are going back to rapture. I know it will be a rapture like we have never seen before, but to spend all that time building Columbia it seems like a waste to not go back.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
So what are the details of the DLC packs again? I know the Season Pass is $20. How many packs is that? Three? At least one was some kind of mp or horde mode, right? The other two are single player and revolve around Rapture?Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
Yes, two single player story packs and the horde mode.
Both have you going back to Rapture, you play as Elizabeth for a good portion of the second one.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
