Re: BioShock Infinite
I just finished this game earlier tonight. I don't think I can say enough good things about this game, it was simply amazing. As good as I thought the original BioShock was, this game was better. The world of Columbia was simply amazing, sometimes I found myself just standing around looking at things, reading the posters, starting at the statues, looking across the skyline, etc. For me to do that in any FPS game is simply unheard of. Rarely is it that you see a game that is not only awesome to look at and fun to play, but one with an incredible story that really challenges the player on an intellectual level like this game does.
Major spoilers:
SpoilerThe ending obviously posed many questions, but needless to say when I saw Rapture in there I started to piece things together. The question to me, now, is how are Comstock/Booker related to Andrew Ryan? Are they all the same person, or are they just similar people on similar paths within this universe of different universes? This is going to get explained at some point, I am sure of it.
What I liked is that despite the multiple clues that Booker was Comstock the game never straight up tells you that until literally the end of the game. When it finally hit me I was like 'oh **** I should've seen that sooner! It explains so much.Last edited by sportsdude; 05-22-2013, 11:15 PM.Lux y VeritasComment

It explains so much.SpoilerThe link between Columbia and Rapture is perhaps the most debated topic for people who have played the game. For me, the ending was less about the relationship between Ryan/Comstock and instead asked us to make the connection between Rapture and Columbia. What I want to know is do the two places co-exist? Because unless Ryan is literally also Comstock (which I'm not really sure is true), what would have gone differently in order for one to exist while the other does not?
Honestly, I think we'll probably either get DLC or one last game that explains the relationship between the two places. A lot of people have mentioned seeing Rapture in its prime (sort of how we saw Columbia, early on in Infinite), almost as a prequel to Bioshock. Personally, I've always interpreted the two places being a theoretical heaven and hell -- especially given the religious overtones of Infinite. If true, wouldn't that mean that there was some kind of purgatory as well? I'm going off on a tangent here, but given the depth of the series, I wouldn't put it past the developers to show off some kind of collision between the two worlds.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: BioShock Infinite
SpoilerComstock/Booker and Ryan aren't really related, they are just on similar paths in different universes. Like Elizabeth said, there's always a man, a city, and a lighthouse. Rapture and Andrew Ryan are just that universes version of Comstock and Colombia. There's no Rapture and Colombia that exist in the same universe. In universes that Colombia doesn't exist its possible there's a version of Rapture or some other city.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I probably have another hour left in Bioshock 2 before I finish it. I am absolutely in love with the world of Rapture. I love everything about it, especially the relationship between Big Daddies and Little Sisters.
I'm sad to be finishing my time in Rapture, but a buddy is letting me borrow Bioshock Infinite.
I am so excited to get my hands on it.

Re: BioShock Infinite
So I just arrivedSpoilerat the gate of Comstock's house. I have to go to Elizabeth's mom's grave now to find I'm assuming her hand.
How long do I have left? And please say it's about 400 hours because I honestly never want this wonderful game to be over.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
