Re: BioShock Infinite
Nice. Thank you. Does the lightning upgrade? Right now it provides just a short stun. I just found my first weapon upgrade booth (chose to upgrade machine gun damage) so that's encouraging, because I didn't know those booths existed. I thought I was stuck with my machine gun being weak with a terrible recoil for the entire game.
Also, what was your preferred strategy for defeating Big Daddies?Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
New companion in the first Bioshock DLC? Sounds very interesting. Can't wait to get me some more Infinite. (no spoilers in link)

Don't fight them unless you need to. Kill the ones that defend the Little Sisters so you can save/harvest them. Ones that just roam around won't attack you unless you fire at them.Nice. Thank you. For ones you do fight, I generally use any rockets/mines I have, then switch to either the machine gun with anti armor rounds or use the shotgun with electric buck since it will stun them.
The lightning can be "upgraded" with those powerup slots you get. I believe there's one that increases stun duration.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Don't forget that there are also 3 levels for every plasmid in Bioshock 1.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
Are you constantly backpedaling or running away when squaring off against one of the big fellas? Or is there a consistent way to stand one's ground and eliminate him on a regular basis? Like I said, I'm still pretty early on so maybe it's because all my weapons are weak, but I'm usually going to die at least once every time I try to take one of those dudes out.Don't fight them unless you need to. One time I tried a strategy of lacing an object with proxy mines and attempting to telekinesis it and throw it at my target but after I picked it up, the mines dropped to the ground.Comment

Big Daddies are supposed to be very very hard.
I'm at the point I need to take out some ships while protecting some engine.
What the heck with this part.

It's damn hard. Hardest part of the game so far for me. Feeling like I did when in the last boss fight in God of War III.
Tonight. After the Knicks game. I conquer.

What difficulty are you playing on? I have some strategies but I understand if you might want to try to work your way through on your own first.Comment

Re: BioShock Infinite
Normal. I have only tried it twice. Practice, practice. I'm sure I'll find a strategy that works and gets it going.
I tried rushing through it. I'm gonna need to take my time when I play again."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I believe I also failed at least two times on normal. I'm not sure I knew or understood what I was getting myself into.Comment

I figured a bit of a strategy that actually worked.
Now to read the theories.
