Re: BioShock Infinite
I just marathoned Bioshock 1. Started at 4pm, just finished, credits are rolling as we speak.
It was fun, the story was great, the twist was ****ing fantastic, but it wasn't at Infinite's level for me. I don't like Rapture as much, I didn't feel as connected to any of the characters as I did Elizabeth in Infinite, and the fetch quests to put off the last boss fight a bit started to grate at me (possibly because it was 2 in the morning).
Also that game is ****ing hard. Without tears full of med packs and Elizabeth tossing me health and salts (or Eve, I guess) I died a lot. A LOT. Those ****ing Big Daddy things, man...
SpoilerFor the record, I did not harvest any of the kidlets, so I got the "good" ending.Last edited by Bellsprout; 06-01-2013, 03:16 AM.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Wow. I'm like the Skyboxer of Bioshock. But I'm guessing the original is also about 10-12 hours long.I just marathoned Bioshock 1. Started at 4pm, just finished, credits are rolling as we speak.

I'll get there. Trying to finish up another game before I do."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: BioShock Infinite
Yeah I agree the first Bioshock was much harder. I liked it that way though. It felt like more of a survival game than Infinite, which makes total sense. You just have to respect the first one because it was WAY ahead of its time. I feel that it could be released today. I still haven't played the second Bioshock. It's pretty cheap right now.I just marathoned Bioshock 1. Started at 4pm, just finished, credits are rolling as we speak.

Re: BioShock Infinite
I haven't played Bioshock One since Infinite, but I can't imagine a world where I could pick one over the other. Unlike Bioshock/Bioshock Two, Bioshock and Infinite felt like two entirely separate entities somehow connected by some thin thread.
SpoilerUltimately, I think the two games are supposed to be remember as one big mystery, and that's sort of what the ending of Infinite insinuates to me. The gameplay is pretty near identical from what I remember, so I guess comparing the two games just comes down to which world you liked better.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: BioShock Infinite
I like the survival game thought. Rapture is darker, there aren't tears and vending machines everywhere (I frequently ran completely out of ammo for my guns), it's a nice way to think of the game that I didn't really put together as I was playing it.Yeah I agree the first Bioshock was much harder. And I have to agree with it being way ahead of its time. I feel like I've punished it a bit because I played it after Infinite, which isn't fair. It isn't meant to be that way. That's not how the games were released.
It's 12 dollars used at your local GameStop. I know this from experience.I still haven't played the second Bioshock. It's pretty cheap right now.

Re: BioShock Infinite
I finally finished tonight. Holy ****. This was about as close to a perfect game as you can get. I want to run through it again on easy so I can focus less on getting one place to another and more on the story. I got really frustrated at times where I felt really overwhelmed with very little ammo. But that's literally my only complaint, and a lot of that is because I don't really enjoy super challenging games.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: BioShock Infinite
You can name almost any game and find people complaining about it on the internet.
I am interested though, what are the major gripes this large community has regarding the way Infinite looks and plays on the PC?PS: You guys are great.
