I wonder if they would do something like GTA 3 where you could do fictional takes on Multiple cities?

GTA: Hooverville
Takes place in the late 30's during the Great Depression. Money would be super important, but impossible to come by. Could set up for an amazing atmosphere.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

re: Grand Theft Auto V
It would be nice if they made a PC version, and actually worked on it this time.
Maybe we would get graphics at least comparable to this, out of the box.

re: Grand Theft Auto V
I don't see GTA going international again as there are too many stories that are available to them in the United States.
I also doubt that we will get anymore time period games such as Vice City (80s) and San Andreas (90s) as those games were prequels to GTA III with things like the lawyer from Vice City being in San Andreas as well as Claude (GTA III main character) who leaves with your girlfriend for Liberty City.
Having done the DLC for "The Lost" and "Gay Tony" we can eliminate Liberty City (New York).
When the first thought of another GTA came raising to my head like a bullet from a 9MM my main city focus was Vice City thinking that Rockstar would recreate that city and include the Miami Heat parody (Vice City Humidity?, not sure if I caught the name of the basketball team in GTA: Vice City) but after seeing what is believed to be the GTA V casting call it has to be San Andreas or atleast Los Santos that we are getting... I can't see them sticking with just Los Santos though after the success of San Andreas.
The idea of places like Philly, DC, New Orleans, Chicago and Texas are cool and I can see future Rockstar games in those locations even if they aren't GTA related... New Orleans rights itself as a being a "refugee" of Katrina would be quite interesting given all the backlash from some of the survivors (blacks) being dubbed that, DC for obvious reasons of there being a black president, Philly for its nickname "City of Brotherly Love" and the Rocky movies, Chicago is the only one I can see them going back in time for but I think they would probably benefit from making that a new IP, and Texas could be the first to incorporate a whole state all by itself with the main attractions of a Texas game revolving around Dallas, Houston and San Antonio and maybe get Mexico in there, which can also be down in "San Andreas".
I see these games as the best guess of what would give them a chance at being a GTA game but nothing about these places makes me think in the same lines as GTA III, GTA VC, GTA SA or GTA IV where you are rising from the local scene to be a major player in crime world.
games after GTA V
Philly - can probably name it in similar fashion to how Philly was named but instead of "Brotherly Love" have "Sisterly Hate" and use a female character. Philadelphia could also work because of how its set up with North, Northeast, Northwest, South and Southwest Philly all surrounding Center City.
DC - definitely need a black president which can be foreshadowed in GTA V or in a GTA game before its release, can probably even have a little side story going where you cross paths with a Jack Bauer-esque character. City can be named "Capitol City"
New Orleans - Katrina victim who reluctantly turned to crime as the city struggles to rebuild. I know Infamous 2 is set here so N.O. is definitely doable.
Chicago - this is the only one I'm not that sure on as I think a new IP along the GTA lines (like RDR) would better suit Chicago... going back to the days of The Untouchables.
Texas - "Everything is LARGER in (insert state name)" this would be a huge map, but can place focus on Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Mexican Border. Each city would be distinct much like San Andreas... get a "Jerry Jones" character in there, you got landmarks like "The Alamo"... could be interesting.http://www.twitter.com/jconWORD <- FOLLOW ME! ...WORD!Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto V
That would be spectacular. I loved the ability to wander through vastly different environments, as I mentioned before. The woods, mountain, and water added such an awesome sense of discovery.Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto V
Hopefully they bring that back along with character/vehicle customization. GTA IV felt less complete without the level of customization SA offered.Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto V
They could shock the world and do something totally new or rebuild say San Andreas. I would love to revisit San Andreas.MLB: Chicago Cubs
NFL: San Diego Chargers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
NBA: Chicago Bulls

If they keep the game in the states id like to see New England or Louisiana.
If they take it outside of the US id like to see Italy or Russia.Last edited by areobee401; 05-14-2011, 01:25 AM.Comment

yeah, would like to see all of Western Europe if they want to make it big. London, Paris, Rome, Madrid. Take the bullet train around or airplanes.

re: Grand Theft Auto V
If they had a real airport in the game it would be sooooo sick. I would pay $150 bucks for a game that was super realistic and had like 3 full cities, and like an unbelievable amount of play time.
What I mean by a real airport is you could buy a ticket, board the plane, ride it(you could skip the flight or actually rise for the whole time.) and get off the plane. Then if they could do it...they could have a plane hijacking but where you have to stop it. It wouldn't be a typical GTA mission but it would be cool.
I also think it would be awesome to start and run businesses in the GTA world. Can you imagine starting with a small company/restaurant/etc. and then expanding to other cities, etc. But obviously you could run a shady business since it's GTA...Anyone get what Im saying?Comment
