Three Leaf Clover was pretty awesome, though. The "friends" stuff started wearing thin by the end of the game, too.

it just always amused me that for a game that is so open world (in fact, it is the premier open world series in gaming... its pretty much the godfather of sandbox games) it had such linear, scripted, and predictable missions.

I want more chaos, more random, more "anything goes". Thats why I liked the Three Leaf Clover mission so much, because it wasn't as scripted as most missions.

If GTA V can do a better job bringing the "open world" concept, that freedom that anything can happen, to the missions themselves, I think it will go a long way.

My guest- GTA V is going to be about a series of bank robberies or something to that effect. Like the male version of Set it Off. I'm probably completely off base with my prediction though.

I agree with that. I realize logistically that maybe it is easier to re-tread previous locales, I would prefer they do something new and different. My personal preference is Philly. Aside from being my hometown, AFAIK there are no open world games taking place there. The only game I can think of that had it as a location was Tony Hawk 3 or 4. It is a pretty diverse city that I think would make for a very interesting setting.

I think a good portion of the Northeast Megalopolis could offer decent locales--D.C., Boston--even a game which included the entire chain (that would be impressive). Other decent domestic locales off the top of my head could include Chicago, New Orleans, Atlanta, or Dallas. The possibilities are endless and I'd like to see GTA offer a new, untapped setting.

I doubt that personally. It will probably be all new characters, just like IV was.

I would have liked a game that kind of played a Pride & Glory theme, but since L.A. Noire is already based on being a main character cop in the greater Los Angeles area (although a different time period), I simply think that would be a bit too repetitious for Rockstar to think about doing.

Is it Los Angeles or is it Los Santos? Semantics are very critical here. LA Noire got the better of them it seems haha.
