    Re: Grand Theft Auto V

They hinted at it in GTAIV, but I think they're going full sail this time out.

Choices and options in doing missions which result in multiple mission paths and endings. Like say you get your standard revenge plot or something and your character needs to decide what route to take. Does he (or she?) go to the mob, street gangs, or some foreign element like Yakuza or Triads?

A much deeper environment with random NPC events out the wazoo seems a given, imo. Things like flying planes and maybe some kinda mini-sub, can definitely see that coming.

But I'm really looking forward to how they're gonna make the story mode much, much deeper.

Yeah, that's why San Andreas has always been my favorite. But Rockstar did bring back some of the fun with The Ballad of Gay Tony.

I'm getting excited for this. The GTA games are the only ones I play outside of sports/WWE.

I'd love to see one of these types of games set here in Pittsburgh. Will never happen because it's not big or cool enough. But imagine the possibilities. 3 rivers. Tons of bridges. 2 inclines. 3 tunnels. Hills everywhere. 3 sports stadiums/arenas within reasonable walking distance. 2 major universities. I mean, the game would write itself.

i totally agree with this, keep the realism just add more fun like they did with the ballad of gay tony.

Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd

Gta iv reminds me of gta 3 in thy it's was the first of that gen and the follow up titles went in more depth and eventually more customization personality into it. Don't forget gta 3 was pretty bare bones straight forward and honestly kinda boring. Then vice and SA blew it out the water. I felt TBoGT brought some of the fun back into it but I feel like GTA V should kill it.

If it is multiple characters, I hope they let you play characters straight through and not force you to jump between characters during the playthrough. That would suck. And I bet somewhere along the line you will have to choose who to pick and subsequently kill off from your playable characters. Imagine choosing between main a and main b on who dies after playing them both for 12+ hours. Damn.

I agree. GTA 3 was great, but kinda bare bones when it came to customization and personality. Next 2 games went all out on it which made it fun. GTA V should follow the same path. Make Main character/s have better personality(NIko was kinda boring) and improve on on-foot gameplay(shooting and fighting) and add more personality/fun(more things to do in-between missions.
I feel if it is Multiple characters that they would make it so users will have to bounce through both characters throughout story. If they do that either make it so where it is not frequent or seemless transition betwwen them,

                  Re: Grand Theft Auto V

Maybe "multiple characters" is kind of like how Sonic or Uncharted uses them... that they tag along for the ride the entire way with you.

If that's the case, I hope Player 2 can just press Select and join in at any time!

I was actually going to post the exact same thing as your first paragraph. I feel like GTA IV was made as the base for what they've done now with GTA V (and maybe one more on this gen if they plan to do that).

For its time, there was no other game that compared to GTA 3. It never was boring in the slightest. I can still play it today and have fun. The amount of content in that game blew anything else before it out of the water. I was amazed by the radio stations alone even with satire talk radio.

I'm so excited for the trailer. Just a simple trailer. This series is easily my favorite among all games. I'm more excited for the trailer than I am playing BF3.

No game creates a buzz for just a trailer like GTA does. Can't wait to see some of the frame by frame analysis that we will get.

Do they usually reveal where the game will be based out of in the trailer? Or will we just see some game play and have to keep guessing?
