Interesting to see it back in California as the location. With Noire and all the work they did with the detail for that game, I had a feeling that was a hint early on that they would be back for GTA. Some Oceans 11 style missions would be cool where you can use past characters. That wouldn't be a bad look this time around. Game looks great and I can't wait to terrorize the unsuspecting patrons in LA, SF and LV, assuming these two other cities are included.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I think adding a fuel dymanic to the game is going to make things much more interesting.
I just hope it's done right, a car shouldn't instantly have a full tank of gas the second you steal it. Every car's fuel level should be random.Green Bay Packers

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
1. Missions may be a pain in the rear if you run out of fuel during said missions.
2. Being chased by the cops may become a pain as well if you are really low on fuel and out in the middle of nowhere and cant get near another car.
Other than those two types of scenarios, I can't see how fuel will add anything to the game.
Just a gimmick they put in the game (to me).
I'm guessing that fueling vehicles will only be noticed by you if you are either of those situations. Other than that I doubt it is going to make the game more "interesting".
A lot of the things mentioned so far (true or not) do sound pretty cool though.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I'm not really into the gas idea.
The only thing I really want is people filling up for gas and going into the gas station. gas stations have always been dead, it'll be 2012 when the game drops hopefully...time to bring them to life R*.Originally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***.Comment

It's kinda lame actually, just an added nuisance to worry about in only 2 scenarios.

Adding fuel will make it so the same scenario can play out differently if you play it multiple times. Like someone said there's always Hybrid cars, and you maybe there will be an option to turn it off or only have it on for missions. The game needs to evolve though, it has been too similar the last few times for my taste.Green Bay Packers

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I think the whole point to adding fuel is to give the game a more realistic feel. Anyone can get into a fast car and speed away not have a thing to worry about. That's all good, but it got old about six years ago. It just makes the game feel stale, repeatative and boring doing that for every mission over, and over and over again.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Agreed 100%.
After playing Mafia II, I'd definitely like to see it make it's way into GTA V.Last edited by 42; 11-07-2011, 09:41 AM.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
How is adding fuel going to make it less similar then GTA IV? I wasnt a fan of San Andreas when you had to work out to build muscle mass or risk your character becoming "heavy" and I wasnt a fan of the "friends" angle on GTA IV when you had to hang out with them doing pointless activities just to progress your friendship with them and I can see this becoming the same type of nuisance those two were.
Also, taking another thing from the Mafia games, I'd like to see odometers make an appearance somehow. It's nice to see that I've driven 100's of miles in my nice white convertible in Mafia II.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
If it is an option, the I think it's a great idea. The friends in GTA IV were an option. At first I liked having them, but I got tired of it quickly and always had them turned off when I would play the game. If Rockstar keeps fuel as an option, then I see no reason for anyone to complain.Comment
