Agreed.

They usually release games at odd times. Didn't GTA IV come out in April? Red Dead came out in May. Their not focused on Christmas sales because their games will sell no matter when it's released.

GTA IV in April(Delayed), Red Dead in May, and LA Noire in May. I also think Max Payne 3 is set to release on May, but I may be completely wrong though.

I thought Max Payne was March?

Regardless, I think anything is in play here considering how long they've taken to make the game. I could see it releasing any time from April to November.

Let's just hope it isn't a 2013 release.

If we assume that a new Xbox console is coming in 2013 (everything is really pointing to that), than 2012 is the last big year for software for this generation, making it a pretty safe bet that this game will come out in 2012.

If it's anything like the mix between LA Noire level story depth and character detail, Red Dead level emotional impact and gameplay but with cars, helicopters, jetskis and planes instead of horses...then that sounds about right.

GTAV should be dynamite.

This is one of those rare titles, that I won't miss on release...

Leaked videos and Grand Theft Auto usually don't show up in the same sentence. Rockstar is one of the best in the business about keeping things quiet until they are ready for the information to start coming out.

They are good, and it's frustrating too. It's great marketing. I see the new GTA V trailer, get all excited and can't wait. It's not February, basically March, which is like what, 3-4 months since the trailer and I;ve kind of forgotten about the game for the most part. But as soon as new info comes out, I'll be even more excited because of how rare any info is at all.

By reading their FAQ a few weeks ago, no new info about V for another 2-3 months... sucks doesn't it?

Report: Mafia II Dev Working On GTA V

Mafia II developers 2K Czech has been working with Rockstar on GTA V for almost a year. The studio has been working on cut-scenes, animations and gameplay, according to a VG24/7 report.

The same article also states that Rockstar has been sharing trade secrets with 2K Czech to help with the development of Mafia III, which has been in pre-production for the past year. Take Two hope the collaboration will turn Mafia into a major franchise.

Mafia III recently went into development, after being taken back to basics in pre-production. According to the unnamed source, no release date or window has been confirmed for the game, but the developers attended Microsoft's "Durango" summit in London, suggesting it could arrive on next-gen platforms.

This is great news all around IMO. Mafia II, despite the shortcomings it had, was a really solid game and did some things that I feel GTA has always been lacking.

Also nice to know that there is actually going to be a Mafia III. I didn't think that was going to happen.

Blue, I say the earliest Mafia 3 comes out is late 2013 but more likely 2014. Could even be a next-gen title.
