Oh, don't get me wrong... GTA V is one of the best games I've ever played. I just think the long wait between IV and this has made people giddy and expecting something... more than a GTA game.

I'll fully admit maybe I'm just missing something, but I don't feel like "OMG THIS IS VIDEO GAME NIRVANA" when I play it. It's just another fantastic game in what has been a superb series.

I'll be very curious to see what everyone thinks of the game after they've had their time to dig into it.

I don't mean to come off as someone saying "oh this game is such a disappointment" because that isn't the case at all. It's just that it's a Grand Theft Auto game. It has it's formula pretty much down at this point in time, that much is clear. It's just the best GTA ever released, in terms of gameplay. Nothing more, nothing less.

Good Post. It's still GTA. I just hope it's better than 4 which I'm sure it is.

Never done a midnight release at GS. Are there any chances they start giving out copies between 9-12?

I want to call in sick tomorrow so bad. I just don't think my guilty conscience will allow it. Is there any getting around this?

I feel this way about the midnight release. If I wait until tomorrow I won't be able to touch it until tomorrow night. If I get it at midnight I can play through the night BUT it's my kids' curriculum night th next day at their school. If I get little sleep I'll basically be like Trevor at curriculum night.

Nope. They'll form a line and depending how long it is, some time before midnight they'll start letting people in the line fully pay it off. They'll form another line so once midnight hits you show them that receipt and get your game/go home so you don't gave everyone in line paying for the game when they receive it causing long waits after midnight.

I was going to do that but needed to save a vacation day for ps3 release and out of sick days.

Did manage to get off an hour early though

The more and more i think about it I may not go with the digital download and just head to walmart in the morning and pick it up. I didnt pre order but Im sure there will be alot there. I remember the last GTA game they had dozens of boxes of them when I went there at 10:00am.

If we were have been able to preload it on the PS3 I would have gone that route.

So I kind of have a dilemma...

I can go to my local game stop, and I decided, what the hell, I'll check my rewards card there. I have enough to get a $25 coupon for any purchase. Yet, I don't really want to go to freaking Gamestop to get the game.

I dunno what to do. $25 is pretty awesome. Save me some dough and gas money, yet, I could just as easily go to Best Buy and pay more.

Actually, with the 30% extra on trade ins, I could get about $40 off.

Damn it, gamestop...you win this round.

If you're worried about the lines and hassle of going to the midnight release; show up 12:15-12:20 and avoid all the BS. Save some cash, get the game at midnight, avoid the rush. Win win.

Mine would, be but I plan on "working" from home tomorrow and possibly Wednesday if my sales rep doesn't make any meetings.
