Don't know why some people are having driving problems. I did a lap around the whole thing as Michael without a scratch on the car.

Then I drove it over a jump in the middle of the map somewhere,landed on top of the only car for 20 miles,got in a fight with the guy,blew up his car,the cops came,2 tires were gone but I still lost them by driving on the train tracks and after the train hit them used it as moving cover so the others wouldn't see me,then went over another jump and landed roof first on 2 dogs which made it bounce up and land on the wheels.

The silos from that mission in San Andreas are back. I forget the mission exactly but you'll know them when you see them.

Anyone do a triathlon event yet? Did one with Michael and I definitely need to get my stamina up more, just coming in third was hard.

Yes but my stamina was already at 100 and the bar never went down so I could just mash on the A button the whole time. Though it was impossible to gain any ground on the swiming the section. I could be fast enough to get out into 1st but never get ahead of any of them. Even when I tried switching to the news coverage and Michael ended up going under the water somehow,when I switched back I was in 7th,caught up to being 1st again but still didn't gain any ground. Always right behind me.

Can gain some on the bikes but there was always 1 guy still hanging around. Except on the last one during the uphill part where they all blew by me when it appeared they were going normal speed uphill as I continued to go slow uphill speed. (Am I missing something here?) Even the guy that ran into the stop sign on the side of the road caught up. I got off the bike and tried to shoot them.

They seem to have some sort of problem running and haven't had any of them even be close during that section.

Now for my own question:
For those with the PS3 version are the movies and TV shows lo-res or are they HD? Just wondering what to expect on PC later.

Thanks, I've been looking everywhere. All the videos I found has the player wearing a parachute (duh!) before it deploys.

When I get up top the mountain via cable car, there is a parachute at the top next to a platform which looks like you can jump off. So after numerous tries of trying to put the parachute on, I said Eff it and jump.. Splat.

There were some cool dirt bikes up there though..

The dirt bike trails up there are no joke. Better be careful or you'll find yourself tumbling down the mountainside.

Appreciate the knowledge. I'll be interested in getting word on concrete deployment instructions. I'm guessing I could figure it out pretty quickly while I was in the air, but I'd prefer knowing beforehand.

I don't know for sure, or have any sources. But after picking the parachute up atop Mt. Chiliad I grabbed the dirt bike a little further up the path. Just down hill from there is a pretty obvious ramp with some warning signs.

After hitting said ramp and ejecting from the dirt bike I went into some kind of"free dive" if you will. Panicked and pushed a prompted button (forget which) and out popped the olé parachute.

So maybe you do need to jump off certain places to activate it? I'm not sure as that was my only experience with it so far.

I already did.. and I didn't even need the dirt bike!!!

So has anyone deployed a parachute that can teach me how?

Also.. the only garage I can get in as Michael is Vinewood... I guess I spent $45k on a truck for nothing.

Did you go into the garage and then press the button to bring up the special car list? I think it's right on the d-pad? The first time I went into that garage, there was already a car in there that I hadn't even bought. But it wasn't sitting in the garage until I brought it up from the menu.

Thanks, man. I was about to hit that ramp last night but then I saw three hikers standing on the edge of a cliff. So I went up and punched one, hoping she'd fall off, but she didn't. Then everyone ran and the cops matriculated near the top of the mountain. I panicked and tried to hit the ramp in a hurry, but slammed into a rock and died. I'll give it another shot tonight.

question about the "jerry" cans at gas stations...

is there a way to fill these? I have gone to the gas pumps and tried,but nothing happens.
I also then thought they were already filled,so I pulled 1 out to see what it would do,and nothing happens either....so what gives...lol

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here,so any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hold down R2 like you're firing a weapon. Start where you want the chaos to happen and make a gasoline trail to a safe distance. Then shoot the end of the trail and enjoy!

Looks like I have to put this game on hold. It keeps resetting me and telling me something is wrong with my storage drive. I am going to return this copy to see if that fixes it, but I bought a bigger hard drive off of ebay too. The little bit I have played it has been a ton of fun.

Yeah I had the same vehicle, but no luck on my purchased vehicle.

Lol I accidentally bumped into 1 of those clowns and they called the cops on me! And like you said was being chased by some cops at the top of a mountain. As Chris Carter would say: C'mon Man!

Ok, I really hope someone can confirm how to deploy it.

My plans after work are to make my way up to Mt. Chilliad for a BASE jump, while searching for the UFO pieces and symbols along the way. Though, my parachuting finale will be crushed unless we learn how to deploy it. Not a lot of "A's" to the "Q's" in this thread for some reason, which is atypical for OS...
