I'll say that it will, but it's not so much regarding how the game looks if that makes sense. But outside of 1080p resolution, the following will hopefully be improved:

- Textures
- Lighting
- Loading times
- Images on screen
- AI
- Animation package
- Draw distance
- Density (population, traffic, wildlife, vegetation, etc.)
- Interior count
- Framerate
- Anti-Aliasing

And the list goes on and on. More radio station material, perhaps more missions, etc. I know you asked more about a visual change, and most of these work in the visual department. If you're going to just do screenshot comparisons, I'm thinking at times you'll feel the game would feel like a curren-gen plus title, which is exactly what it was. This might be the game that we all kind of hoped it was initially though, and I'm okay with that. A lot of things it sounded like we would have or that it looked like from initial trailers that were removed can perhaps be attributed to limitations from PS3/360, and now we'll have the title they once wanted to release long ago.

Besides heists, what are some of the things missing that we were excited about before release, or may have seen in trailers?

If we get a free garage I'm assuming we can now own at least 3 properties. All our I line carries over right? Not just moved and xp? Cars, apartments. Etc too right?

Yes everything.

@kale ; I'm just as excited as you are, I have great memories playing this game when it released on the 360.

We had a reg nightly crew (Coff, 55, cam, C, pack, etc) and would have all kinds of fun.

Cold weather coming + this game = good times for me.

I don't know how I feel about that. Options are always good, I guess.

The first trailer hints at this, since the car interiors/dashboards are so detailed.

Would be pretty cool if we get that for gun combat as well, crosshairs and all.

I'm sure it is. They're not about to change the fundamental GTA experience on a whim just for kicks.
