I just picked mine up from Best Buy (still argue it's the best deal as I essentially paid about $22 for it), and I noticed they e-mailed me the code.

I won't be home for about five more hours still, then I'll pop it in and install. I have tons of work to do so the most I can probably play is 15 minutes anyway. Just enough for the first mission and see what FPV is all about.

So I pre ordered it through psn got it done digitally had everything ready to go and was able to play at 10pm last night played the first 2 missions. Then woke up this morning and realized I was supposed to get the free $ for pre ordering. Unless I missed it or something does anybody know how we are supposed to get that $? Does Sony email us a code or send it through message? Or do we already have it in game and I over looked it? Any help would be great thanks guys.

Access the PSN store via the pause menu and redeem it there.

So I got online and I push transfer from my 360 account. and I'm not sure if it worked or not because I didn't go very far in my 360 online character but 10 minutes into online game and it said my blimp was ready so that makes me think the transfer did work. I don't think you just get a blimp for no reason.
I'm on the Xbox one by the way and I sent a request to the operation sports crew ... so if you see my request please accept -

The instructions were sent to me via the PS4 "Notifications" folder. But I have not done anything yet because I have not attempted to play online.

I fired the game up last night within one second of when it came online (10 pm my time) and stayed up for four hours playing the game. While it is a little harder to drive, I love the new 1st person view in the cars and motorcycles. But I found myself walking into too many things when trying to use 1st person outside of a vehicle. So I kept switching back to 3rd person view and switching to 1st person when I wanted to drive somewhere.

Question: do I have to play a certain number of missions before the letter scraps become available to hunt down? I went looking for some letter scraps as well as alien space ship parts in a few places that they should have been, but did not find anything yet. I do vaguely remember in the PS3 version doing a mission before I was told about the space ship parts. But I can't remember anything about a mission which triggered the letter scraps.

I don't think you just get a blimp for no reason.

I was playing offline last night and was informed I could call up the Blimp by dialing a number on my in game smartphone. Of course at the time I did not have a parachute with me, so I deferred calling it up. Perhaps I will give it a whirl tonight and make a jump.

There's apparently an update to try and solve the Online issues some people are having with switching over to the new systems.

If you attempt to download the patch and see a “CE-32937-4” error, please attempt to download the patch again later today. This issue will be addressed for Xbox One and Xbox 360 users by tomorrow. Affected PlayStation®4 and Xbox One players can still log in to Grand Theft Auto Online but will not be able to transfer characters until the fix is in place.

11/18/14 Update 2: Sony have increased the number of servers that the PlayStation®4 patch can be download from to reduce errors and make the patch more accessible. Please try the patch download again; if you still see an error, close GTAV completely and try to install the patch. Stay tuned to this page for the latest updates

I think it said if you had a character that had money before you did the transfer, you would lose that character but retain the money.

So when you do transfer, you'll have you last gen character, stats, money + whatever money youve made with the new character.



And impressions: game looks awesome. First person will get some getting used to. Even the driving is way different. I made it free aim, its hard to see that little dot on the screen sometimes. Wish you could change that.

There's an audio profile in gta v options for the first wireless Sony headset. I'm gonna try it out with the golds.

If possible could anyone (who hasn't played since 2013) who had success transferring from 360 to PS4, please confirm.

I haven't played since December and transferred my character with no problem. Money, apartment and cars are all there. I also got my preorder money back from the new character that I made.

Won't get this until Thursday it looks like, but looking forward to it. With some of the issues the wait may not be so bad anyway.
