agreed Gears. The first game was great, the 2nd was above average. With that I said, I am very excited, though not surprised, to hear that R3 will be coming soon.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I really liked the second game a lot, but the first one was much better imo. I was on Insomniac's message boards and a guy was breaking down the trailer. When I get home, I'll post it here............he did a very cool job spotting things out. From what one of the developers said, there are a ton of hidden messages about the third game in the that trailer. I am hoping at PAX we end up getting actual gameplay footage, which would be sweet.Comment

Looks like the Widowmaker will make another apperance in R3.
- :56 looks like something(cows?) wrapped up in a webs.
- :58 Shows a real spider with an insect wrapped around the web.

- 1:01 Looks like a new type of stalker or something similar to the widowmaker?
- 1:01 An unknown creature walking across infront of the Stalker/Spider.

- 1:03 looks like a beefed up grim/ new form of Chimera?

- 1:07 Billboard says "Get Away" with what looks to be some type of shuttle. Or could just be the front of a bullet train type vehicle.
Time Travel?
- 1:20 sign says "From the Future". Could be hinting at it?

- 1:27 Shows the guy holding a Rossmore
New Setting St. Louis?
- 1:51 They're entering the tunnel but you can see the St. Louis arch in the background.
- 2:01 Looks like Capelli(has the same scar) Possibly the main protagonist?

R1 is one of my favorite games and the MP I loved. The maps were great, menu simple and easy to set up and find custom games. I really can't stand the COD type of MP these days where you get a gazillion weopons and a gazillion perks and whoever plays the most hours has the most advantages. Unless you play almost every day there is no point of playing online at all. I know it's out of fashion now but I like a MP where everyone is on a level playing field and have the same weapons available so it depends on skill. There are still lots of people playing R1 MP to this day. The busyard is one of the best maps of all time for one hit kill deathmatches.
R2 got away from all that and tried to become like all the other FP shooters. The graphics were cartooney and weapons didn't feel substansial in your hand or when fired. It is flat out one of the worst sequals ever made as it wasn't similar to R1 in any way.
R3 really needs to get back to the gritty play and washed out graphics of the 1st one and at least have the option to go back to the style of the original MP. This game really needs to go retro.Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 08-21-2010, 10:51 AM.Comment
