Wait, there is no MP for this game?

Just no multiplayer versus modes.

In OF:Red River there will be several multiplayer co-op game modes. And the entire campaign will be playable in 4 man co-op.

this definitely got my attention. graphics and animations have really improved from earlier builds. I think i'll be pre-ordering this if Amazon ever decides to list it for sale/pre-order..

Only trouble there is that the dev diaries for DR were totally awesome too. Don't mean to be negative, but it is what it is. Highly skeptical of this game even though I was able to wade through the problems with DR and still enjoy it quite a bit. We'll see. Just not holding my breath.

yeah i hear ya. i just made the same mistake with Shift 2. man their marketing dept got me on that one.

The game's script and general tone is upsettingly distasteful. Scale, freedom of movement and level of realism have all been toned down.

yeah, i think i'll be picking it up. BUT, just trying to decide if it's worth the effort to get one now (it's been released in Europe).. or just wait til June 7th. I can't believe we have to wait that long..

I've read a couple of reviews and it looks like the squad AI is as broken as ever. That was my biggest issue with Dragon Rising so I'm definitely holding off on buying this. That being said, I did have fun with DR but it was nowhere near the game that it could have been.

There is nothing fun about failing missions because the friendly AI is too dumb to follow your instructions and gets itself killed.

I've read a couple of reviews and it looks like the squad AI is as broken as ever. That was my biggest issue with Dragon Rising so I'm definitely holding off on buying this. That being said, I did have fun with DR but it was nowhere near the game that it could have been.

Probably the only worthwhile reason to get this would be the 4 player co-op campaign/missions.

I've no idea what the point of this game is. It doesn't really cater for the Call of Duty crowd, it has steered well clear of the milsim crowd, doesn't appeal to the graphical crowd, it's such a misplaced game - At least the first tried to mimic simulation but did so poorly, now they denounced realism and want to create ... a generic military shooter?

GI gave it a weak review, but I don't always go by that. They share a different opinion than me a lot of times. I didn't like the first one and never finished it.. I may just put this one in the back of my mind and get it for cheap one day.
