Eh, I think you can only dodge them by rolling (circle). And it's never worked that well for me because then I just get shot up.

I'm getting tired of the endless gun battles and same fights with the big guy. Just feels like UC3 is more gun play then the other 2 games, and the same ol fight with the big guy. Counter, kick in balls, punch in face, counter, kick in balls, punch in face. Repeat twice per chapter.

Agreed, that was lather, rinse, repeat.

I always just hit square as fast as I can, and it always ends up a double KO. They REALLY need a counter system. It would make people think twice when they R1 and zig-zag toward you, and then punch. That is what pisses me off most about the MP.

*sigh* I know I didn't suck this much in UC2's MP. I wasn't any expert but I was competent to at least have twice as many kills as deaths in most matches. Now I can be the first to spot and shoot at a person who isn't even looking and still wind up dying.

Best thing to do I have found is keep your distance. I am using the three burst assault rifle this week, and it is pretty accurate from medium range. If someone is close to you though, you are out of luck.

Interestingly enough, that's exactly what I'm discovering just switched to the 3 burst one and got three kills in a row at one point. Also I get more kills when I switch to that M4 looking one. AKs just ain't doing it for me I guess. And forget about rushing on some of these giant maps.

Later on you can unlock an accuracy improvement for the AK, but until then, yeah - that gun is junk, especially up against M9's.

Yeah I am using Roman's GMAL this week. I like that feature.

Played my first games of MP, and man do I suck. It felt like I had to shoot everyone 9 times but only had to be shot 3. I started getting better though after a few matches.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed. The graphics are absolutely incredible, but I thought the story was short and the gameplay was repetitive. How many times do you have to have fight a giant with the same basic moves?

It was still a fun game and I love the series. I was just expecting more after how amazing UC2 was.

It was still a fun game and I love the series. I was just expecting more after how amazing UC2 was.

I feel this was the weakest of the series and the bullets needed to kill a guy on normal mode is ridiculous still after all this time.

I was expecting some sort of boss fight to end the game like the previous ones so it was disappointing to see. My favorite was the pirate cruise ship and there was no real outstanding, accomplished-felt fight against the leader which again disappointed me'

Oh the biggest disappointment by far for me was the lack of puzzles and the relative ease this time around for the few that were in the game. I know its not a puzzle game but still, the gun play should've been toned down for puzzle rooms with multiple things instead of the dummied down versions.

7.5 out of 10 from me

Just got this game for $40. Played through the first four chapters and am enjoying it so far. Heavy on the cut scenes story right now.

One thought - with so many guys having finished the game and posting their thoughts in spoilers, it might be nice to have a second UC3 thread where people can post their final thoughts and opinions on the game without having to worry about spoilers. Might make it more interesting and keep this thread a little cleaner. Just a thought. I know I will have to go back and re-read people's spoiler covered opinions after the fact here.

Just to save you time, it mostly pertains to people's few disappointments/complaints about the game, sided by their favorite chapters/moments they played through (though they obviously contain story spoilers at the same time).

Beat the game yesterday (Hard)... loved every second of it.

Glad it was a change with the boss fights from UC2. Not every game has to be the same. It was welcomed to me.

Can't not wait for my second play-through. The voice acting was stellar. And what little moments of interaction you had with the characters with one another conveyed and captures the emotion perfectly.
