Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerIs my understanding that some of the differences between the endings isn't the events, but how much is actually revealed wrong? It seems like some endings just end, while others will have the same thing, but show a little bit more, and then end. Which all seems like a silly way to reach 16 "alternate" endings, but whatever.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Based on my experience, I think it goes down 1% each day since you last played MP. Although, just yesterday (or maybe it was Saturday) I played MP, got my readiness to 100%, played SP for a bit, and upon exiting to the main menu, it had my readiness at 99%. So maybe playing a session of SP decreases readiness by 1% too? The whole setup is absolutely stupid. Nobody should be forced to play MP mode in any game in order to get the best gaming experience, especially if the game series has traditionally been SP-only.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

Ending question

petty much. there are 3 "main" endings, the rest are just modifying what you see in the ending cutscenes.

You can edit your save to change the value of assets or play the iPhone games to raise readiness but otherwise no you can't do anything about it.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
They flat out told us you didn't HAVE to play the MP to get the best ending. But it's fitting. They didn't live up to the 15 different endings or whatever promise they made. Why should they have kept their end of things elsewhere? Besides, all getting 100% readyness gets you is a 3rd option at the end instead of the two I got. With slight details different here or there.
I thought that everyone was done complaining about the ending so I didn't post this but since it's still the topic of conversation, here's a defense of it: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012...ect-3s-ending/Last edited by jmood88; 03-27-2012, 09:38 AM.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
Question about how ME2 affects 3.I don't think the question needs a spoiler tag but maybe the answer does. I lost Tali, Miranda, and Jacob at the end of 2. I guess I suck or something. How much am I missing out on not having them? Could any of them be in your party or do they just pop up for a minute here and there?Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: Mass Effect 3
I wish I would have known that some of the missions go away if you don't do them right away. I missed 2 of them I think and the game feels short. I'm in London and have 38 hours into the game with the DLC completed. I thought I read it would take around 60 hours if you did everything.
Loving the game but it feels pretty short. Unless London is a long campaign. I've only made it through the 1st few waves but I think I'm at the end. I just talked to all my squad members before I saved last night.GT: Herkyalert

definitely fells shorter than ME and ME2. ME was longer, mostly due to the planet exploration. For ME2, I just remember my 1 playthrough being about 45 hours(so that is not counting the DLCs).
for the missions that disappear, It's usually hinted at that they are only available for a short time. someone would say something like, you should get there before X gets there.... What I do is do all sidequest possible and scan all new star systems before moving onto the next Priority Mission.Last edited by Solidice; 03-27-2012, 11:40 AM.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
You don't need to play multiplayer to get all three endings. I didn't play it at all my first playthrough and I got all three choices.

That's what the developers released in their Q/A. They said that you won't need to play multiplayer to get all the endings however there would be one that you need to play multiplayer to get.
