Can't forget Sandbox games like GTA. Works there as well. (unless that was being counted under FPS/TPS genre)

You can do ALL the side missions and not get your EMS to 4000, hell you won't even break 3,000.

          HOWEVER

You can not do ANY side missions but play the hell out of MP and get your EMS beyond 4,000.

          That is BS.
I think I was around 3,400-3,500 EMS before I edited the save file to put it at 4,000. and I haven't touch MP.

But I agree. MP should never impact single player to this extent. luckily I was on PC version which can be edited.

              I had 3500ish. Over 3000 is possible. 4000 no.

I agree with you. I really do. I had no intentions of playing MP at all and just happened to check it out. Curiosity got the best of me. For what it is, it's not half bad. It shouldn't be in the game at all but it isn't brutal, in my opinion. I definitely don't think MP should be tied to whatever you need to do in SP though. Someone mentioned earlier that they'd much rather have a great SP game that doesn't include MP at all rather than what we got with ME3, if that is part of the reason why the ending felt incomplete. I totally agree with that. The Assassin's Creed series and Mass Effect series both should be without MP mode. It's unnecessary.

After all, Uncharted had a fun MP experience. I haven't played ME3 yet, but I'll be sure to comment if/when I do...

For those of you playing with good sound systems...

What do you have "Dynamic Range" set to? Right now I have mine on LOW because I find the dialogue to be weak on HIGH. The downside is that all other sound-effects don't have much "oomph" and my subwoofer is hardly getting any work. As mentioned, HIGH drowns out voices but I actually feel like it's making full use of my speakers. The only other negative is that it gets extremely loud for some reason when using Mass Relays - not good for my late night sessions.

Also, I just finished up on Rannoch...

Outside of ME3 itself, I wish more attention was paid to the reviewer/company relationship. I get all the outrage over ME3, but if it's solely focused on Bioware, we won't make any changes or get anything done.

Seriously this is an amazing game for 99 percent of the time. Everything leading up to the end is emotionally powerful and throughout the whole game you get a sense of impending doom with everything going against you. By the end I am feeling as emotionally drained as your Shepard appears to be in the game.

For those that haven't got the game or are afraid to play it because of the ending your are missing out on one of my favorite games ever.

As far as multiplayer is concerned I don't mind it in this game because like I said before the game is amazing for 99 percent of it. I have a hard time believing anything would be different about single player or that the game would have been "better" if MP was taken out. Yes the galactic readiness wouldn't be in it, but other than that the SP IMO is as good if not better than the first two up until the very end.
