I figure I'll give the second game a try sometime soon. I was just never really interested in ME for whatever reason, but I figure with all the praise it gets its worth a shot. Might as well take care of it before ME3 drops.

Rumor: First Mass Effect 3 multiplayer details

Additionally, our source also detailed some parts of the multiplayer campaign. Here’s what we’ve been told:

• The game will feature a Horde style multiplayer mode with “crap loads” of maps.
• It will also have the regular modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
• The Horde mode will have objectives like Capture The Flag, King of the Hill, and simple shoot-to-kill ‘waves’ as well.
• Up to four players can play cooperatively in the Horde mode.
• Maps are “fairly small” but well designed.
• Players can choose from 6 different classes, or use a prebuilt one’s. Our source didn’t confirm what those classes were, but we reckon all those from ME2 will be present.
• There will be a level cap of 60.
• Some of the enemies were confirmed as well: Geth, Marauders, Husks, and a new enemy type called Brutes. The source described them as insanely “huge ***”.
• The game will also feature a ‘multiplayer store’. The store will carry upgrades for weapons, etc. and other items.
• Players will be able to buy said upgrades and items by earning in-game money based on their performance in the multiplayer. Our source wasn’t sure if the in-game money can be earned via the single player campaign as well, “but I doubt it. Seems like the (singleplayer and multiplayer) modes will be separate.”

The multiplayer is still in its early stages and “needs a lot of work.”

As long as they don't skimp on the single player experience I don't care if there is a multiplayer option. Not really my thing, but it doesn't really affect me as long as they deliver the kind of single player experience I am used to.

My thoughts as well. I am interested in the Horde mode though. Taking out Geth or Reapers with some OSers could be fun.

Also the gameplay videos look great. We're 9 months away but the game is already looking excellent.

Well since it's not coming out until March of next year, you have plenty of time to do another play-through and destroy the base and have a different save file to import into ME3.

Lmao! Ok I really screwed the pooch on that one. If I could go back I would've gotten with Liara but I've never been a big fan of Ashley so I wanted to "get back" at her per say by getting with MIRANDA

Lol, a friend and I went around calling her Ms. Perfect Booty. They have some damn good genetic engineering in the Mass Effect universe.

I don't know why they couldn't save this multiplayer **** for Mass Effect 4. I just hope that they have a completely separate part of Bioware working on it so it doesn't take anything away from the single player.

Very true. My issue is that the MP sounds generic. When a series that normally doesn't have MP I want to see something different like Spies vs Mercs or what Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood brought to the table.
