Re: Mass Effect 3
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
SpoilerThat was the end? Seriously? If EA and Bioware makes up pay for DLC to show us how our choices affected the world, or to see the "REAL" ending im going to throw up.
That was one of THE WORST endings i have ever been apart of. I poured countless hours and playthroughs in those first 2 games scrutinizing over decisions thinking about how it might effect the outcome, and NONE of them mattered.
I sat thinking about saving the collector base or destroying it for 20 minutes, and it was in the game for 3 minutes??????????Hell, the f*%&ing Rachni are not even in the final battle even though i saved them twice.
And why the hell is Joker being a little wuss and leaving Earth even though the battle wasnt over? Why was my crew that i took with me to the final flight on the Normandy too? Bioware dropped the ball HUGE on this one. I wont pick this one up and play through knowing that the decisions have nothing to do with the outcome. I played the first one many times, and the 2nd one many times, this game is going to get shelved till this is figured out.
My favorite series......right down the toilet thanx to some morons decision to be cute and have some crazy cookie braindead ending. Man, there are not enough words for me to describe how big of a letdown that was.

Re: Mass Effect 3
I know a lot of you have either beat it or are much further than me, but I just completed the Genophage mission
SpoilerI hate that Mordin had to die, but I didn't feel as attached to him as I do someone like Garrus. That entire sequence was just epic.. when working my way towards the colums to make the summon, I tried to fight those things off, but quickly learned my best bet was just to run for it and it was very effective. That entire cutscene where it takes the Reaper down was just bad *** and cooler than the ending of some of the games I've beat in the past...
Has anyone tried to sabotage the genophage cure, yet ? I just couldn't bring myself up to it. Eve's dialogue changed my mind on it, because I was def. thinking about it. As a whole, I don't like the Salarians.. Mordin was the exception.

I stopped and killed every one of them I could. Lol, it never occurred to me to run for it. I think they stopped coming too, or there was a big enough pause in the action for me to go activate the second one. Anyway, killing them was just plain fun.
Now there was a part later where that thought occurred to me, and it was definitely for the best. I was almost dead when I realized it.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Mass Effect 3
There's no way I could play this game on the hardest difficulty. I'm pretty good at the average shooter/action game, but there's just so much going on in this game. I hardly ever had to use medi gel in ME2, but I'm constantly using it in this one..
I do appreciate the challenge. I don't think I realize how fast my hands are moving on the controller..
Yeah, those brutes were working me over and I decided to make a run it... worked out well.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
Yeah you could have easily ran for it and activated both of them without killing anybody. That is what I did in both play through. I just ran to the left, clicked, ran to the right, click, boom, was done. Even got fancy on them and threw in some evasion rolls on them a handful of times.Comment

SpoilerYeah, at first I tried to fight through them, but I died. So I decided to try and break for it. I just used Biotic Charge to rush forward and rock the guy a bit, then I activated the pillar. Repeated the same on my way to the second pillar. The whole thing took around 20 seconds or so tops...lol. I was shocked at how quick and easy it was.
I was sad to see Mordin go. One of my favorite characters in the series (though I agree that he's not on the level of Garrus). It's odd how well that scene plays out (from the Thresher Maw to the whole thing with Mordin) compared to some things later on. It could be a very passable end-game sequence in a lot of games. It's easily one of the best moments in the whole series for me.Comment

SpoilerHe doesn't have to die.

SpoilerBut doesn't Eve die then?
And Liara makes things too easy sometimes. I intentionally leave her out just for the challenge of it (hardcore mode). Maybe spending all that time beating Insanity on ME2 has paid off.
Also, just a note from my whole "360 Disc Swap Post"...
Many Citadel Side Missions will no longer be available if you activate Priority: Citadel 2. Be sure you complete Grissom Academy: Emergency Evacuation, Citadel: Alien Medi-Gel Formula, Citadel: Barla Von and Citadel: Biotic Amp Interfaces.Comment

Also, just a note from my whole "360 Disc Swap Post"...SpoilerYeah, Eve has to die or Mordin won't go along with the lie. Also, if you take the route of lying on a playthrough with Wrex alive, he'll figure out you lied later on and you'll have to kill him (obviously losing him and the Krogan support).
If it's a playthrough with Wreav, then you can lie and get both Krogan and Salarian support with Mordin living (though Eve dies). This is probably the best outcome in terms of war assets, but it's obviously a big renegade decision.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
Whose game is it anyway?
No sooner had BioWare released Mass Effect 3 than the fast-selling video game was embroiled in controversy. Fans who had followed the adventures of Commander Shepard since the first Mass Effect in 2007 were outraged at the final minutes of the concluding chapter of the trilogy, which they felt disrespected — or at least disregarded — the years they had put into fighting the Reapers. So they did what anyone these days might: they banded together.

Re: Mass Effect 3
So amidst all the controversy I've been constantly seeing these past couple weeks, I decided to check back in to this thread.
Wow.
I haven't clicked any of the spoilers of course because I'm still trying to get through my PS3 playthrough of ME2 -- which I've been hustling through just to get to ME3 -- but did Bioware really drop that ball that badly with the ending? Now I'm worried ME3 is going to ruin my experience with the series judging from the reaction to the end.
Should I be waiting to see if they change the ending or if there is DLC (both options being incredibly stupid IMO) to add to the end? Or are people overreacting?
I just really don't want to be disappointed when I finish the trilogy. These games have been way too good and I don't want to be left with a sour taste in my mouth so to speak.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
